    摘要: A method performed by a wireless device for performing an uplink control channel transmission in a serving cell in a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless device is configured with a set of serving cell(s) in the wireless communications network. First, the wireless device determines a number of serving cells of the set of serving cell(s) that are relevant to consider when performing the uplink control channel transmission in the serving cell. Secondly, the wireless device selects an uplink control channel format from a set of uplink control channel formats for uplink control channel transmissions based on the determined number of serving cells. Then, the wireless device performs the uplink control channel transmission in the serving cell using the selected uplink control channel format. A wireless device for performing an uplink control channel transmission in a serving cell in a wireless communications network is also provided.

    摘要: Systems and methods for soft buffer handling with limited memory access bandwidth are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a User Equipment (UE) of a cellular communications network includes receiving a retransmission that would require a total number of memory accesses to process that is greater than a memory access bandwidth of a soft buffer of the UE. The method also includes prioritizing which bits should be read from or written to the soft buffer of the UE when processing the retransmission based on the memory access bandwidth, any previously received redundancy versions, and/or a currently received redundancy version. According to some embodiments, this achieves higher system performance than Chase Combining alone while keeping the receiver implementation limitation as low as alternative solutions.

    摘要: According to some embodiments, a method in a wireless network element of transmitting a transport block comprises determining a modulation coding scheme for a transmission of the transport block; determining a category type of a wireless device that will transmit or receive the transport block; determining, using the category type of the wireless device, an encoding soft buffer size (NIR) for the transport block; adjusting, using the modulation coding scheme, the encoding soft buffer size (NIR) by a factor (KH); encoding the transport block according to the determined modulation coding scheme and the adjusted encoding soft buffer size; and transmitting the transport block. In particular embodiments, the determined modulation coding scheme is 256 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (256QAM) and the factor (KH) is 4/3.

    摘要: A radio access node or wireless device performs LBT on a channel and dynamically determines a transmission starting point on the channel, based on whether the LBT succeeds before or after a slot boundary between a slot n and a previous slot n−1. In response to determining that the LBT succeeds before the slot boundary, a transmission scheduled for the slot n is extended to start earlier, in the previous slot n−1. Otherwise, in response to determining that the LBT succeeds after the slot boundary, either a transmission scheduled for a next slot n+1 is extended to start earlier, in the slot n, or a transmission scheduled for the a second mini-slot of the slot n is extended to start earlier, in a first mini-slot of the slot n.
