摘要： A rapid exchange type medical elongated body is disclosed in which an outer diameter of a distal portion of a tubular member is set smaller than an outer diameter of a proximal portion of the tubular member, which prevents an occurrence of a kink in a physical property change region of the medical elongated body which has a relatively large change in physical property. A tubular member forming a second region of a distal member of a medical elongated body is integrally formed with a shaft portion. The distal member has a reinforcement layer containing a metallic material and formed between an inner layer and an outer layer from a first region to the second region. The reinforcement layer is disposed inside the tubular member in the second region. An outer diameter of the first region is set smaller than an outer diameter of the second region.

摘要： A balloon catheter is disclosed which allows easier fusion-bonding between an inner tube shaft and an outer tube shaft and in which the inner tube shaft can be prevented from being warped when the inner tube shaft passes through a stenosed site, and a method of manufacturing such a balloon catheter. The balloon catheter includes an inner tube shaft having a first layer and a second layer located on an inner surface side of the first layer. The outer tube shaft is fusion-bonded to the first layer and recessed toward the inner tube shaft side. The first layer is formed of a material having higher optical absorption property than the outer tube shaft and the second layer. The second layer is formed of a material having a melting point higher than that of the first layer.

摘要： An inner tube includes a tubular body made of a first resin and a reinforcing member disposed on an inner side of the tubular body. The reinforcing member is configured of a linear body including a second resin. The inner tube has a first region including a distal portion provided with a distal opening portion and a second region that is disposed to be closer to a proximal side than the first region. The linear body projects inwardly from the inner surface of the tubular body in the first and second regions, and inwardly projects less in the first region than in the second region. In a balloon catheter, guide wire operability is improved and problems which can arise when using a metal reinforcing member are avoided. In a medical elongated body, sliding resistance of a medical device inserted in a lumen can be reduced.
