摘要: An acoustic surface wave device and a method of constructing such a device which has much lower spurious responses resulting in improved operation. In a specific embodiment, the back surface of the surface wave device is treated by sand blasting or the like to form a plurality of depressions therein which act to randomly scatter undesired modes in the substrate thereby materially improving the device response.

摘要: In a transducer in which a plurality of acoustic sections are cascaded in series, a plurality of electrical sections are also cascaded in series to produce a relatively long interdigitated surface wave transducer having a relatively large input impedance. In one embodiment, electrical cascading is effected so that the interconnected acoustic sections are in phase with each other. In a different embodiment the series electrical cascading produces a phase reversal between the interconnected acoustic sections.

摘要: A surface wave oscillator having a surface wave delay line device in its oscillator circuit is taught. The surface wave delay line device is used in the oscillator to fix the frequency of oscillation and to establish a phase slope which provides optimum frequency stability for the desired frequency modulation bandwidth.

摘要: An improved interdigital surface wave transducer which eliminates unwanted signals due to reflections to a degree sufficient to permit its use as a television band-pass filter. The reflectionless surface wave transducer is obtained by using a modified form of unidirectional transducer in which an interdigital transducer is placed in the center of a U-shaped multi-strip coupler with the transducer phased off center by a distance Delta d so as to satisfy an equation which will result in zero reflections.
