The accent lighting system includes an accent adapter assembly that is configured to securely couple to a light source. The accent adapter assembly includes an accenting plate that is configured to accent light that is emitted from the light source. A method of securing an accent lighting system within an internal cabin of a vehicle includes removing an existing light source from an aperture of a composite panel, securing an accent adapter assembly to the existing light source to form the accent lighting system, and securing the accent lighting system in the aperture of the composite panel.

摘要: An improved overhead storage system for use in an aircraft includes a variable opening overhead storage bin that is configured to automatically open to an initial open position when a latch mechanism is released, to open further to a second open position when a force is applied to the bin, and to return to the initial open position when the force is removed. The variable opening overhead storage bin includes a first stop device configured to stop the bin at the initial open position, and a second stop device configured to stop the bin at the second open position. When in the initial open position, the variable opening overhead storage bin is angled to retain stowed articles within the bin. When the variable opening overhead storage bin is further opened to the second open position, the passenger's hands are in a better position to control articles stowed within the bin.

Such improved overhead storage systems and variable opening overhead storage bins may improve article retention of articles or loads stored within the storage bins during flight. When the variable opening overhead storage bin is further opened to the second open position, such as by pressing down on the bin, the passenger's hands may be in a better position to control articles stowed within the bin.

摘要: A window assembly for use in a vehicle including a window frame including a first end and a second end opposite the first end, and an opaque shade movable relative to the window frame, wherein the opaque shade includes a first tab formed at a bottom end of the opaque shade. A transparent shade is movable relative to the window frame, wherein the transparent shade includes a second tab formed at a bottom end of the transparent shade. The first tab and the second tab are configured for selective integration with each other to enable dependent movement of the opaque shade and the transparent shade with each other, and to enable independent movement of the opaque shade and the transparent shade relative to each other.
