摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element and an illumination module that includes a freeformed lens optic and a circuit board with an illumination source disposed thereat. With the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at a side of a vehicle, light emitted by the illumination source passes through the freeformed lens optic and provides ground lighting that illuminates a ground region located at the side of the vehicle. The ground lighting includes (a) ground illumination of the illuminated ground region and (b) within the ground illumination of the illuminated ground region, a logo formed by the freeformed lens optic. The logo formed by the freeformed lens optic has a light intensity greater than any light intensity of the ground illumination of the illuminated ground region. The illumination module is snap-attached at a portion of the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly.

摘要: An illumination module configured for mounting at a vehicle includes at least one illumination source and an optic. The optic is a three dimensional single formed optic that is formed such that, when the illumination source is operated and when the illumination module is disposed at a side of a vehicle, the optic provides projection of an icon, a logo and/or indicia at a ground region at or near the side of the vehicle. The optic includes one of (a) a lens optic configured such that light emitted by the illumination source, when activated, passes through the lens optic to provide projection of the icon, the logo and/or indicia, and (b) a reflector optic configured such that light emitted by the illumination source, when activated, reflects off the reflector optic to provide the selected projection of the icon, the logo and/or indicia.

摘要: In embodiments, an illumination system includes a plurality of light sources and a plurality of fixed communicators disposed within the passenger cabin. The plurality of fixed communicators can be configured to send signals to or receive signals from a mobile communicator coupled to or carried by an object. The illumination system further includes a controller in communication with the plurality of light sources and the plurality of fixed communicators and/or the mobile communicator. The controller is configured to determine a location of the object within the passenger cabin based on signals communicated between the plurality of fixed communicators and the mobile communicator. The controller is further configured to selectively activate one or more of the light sources based on the determined location of the object to illuminate a portion of the passenger cabin in proximity to the object.

摘要: Non-emergency illumination apparatus (10) arranged in use to mark a location of an article, fixture or fitting in an aircraft cabin, the apparatus including: an emitting layer (2) including a photoluminescent material, the photoluminescent material emitting visible light in a first region of the electromagnetic spectrum in response to excitation by light from a second region of the electromagnetic spectrum, different to the first region; and a protective layer (6) overlying the emitting layer, the protective layer transmitting light from the first and second regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, wherein the non-emergency illumination apparatus is constructed and arranged to be placed in proximity to an article, fixture or fitting, such that the apparatus marks the location of the article, fixture or fitting when excited by light from the second region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The illumination apparatus can comprise a carrier matrix. The illumination apparatus aids location of items such as headphone sockets and power sockets in low lighting conditions so calming passengers.
