    Abstract: In an optical structure for displaying a stereoscopic frame image on a structure formation surface, a frame motif that displays a frame image in which reflection moves is formed on a structure formation surface, the frame motif is made up of a plurality of perforated reflecting segments, each including one or more first reflecting mirrors having a reflective layer uniformly tilted relative to the structure formation surface, the tilt angle of the first reflecting mirror is different between adjacent perforated reflecting segments so as to gradually change over a plurality of adjacent perforated reflecting segments, and at least one of the plurality of perforated reflecting segments surrounds an opening provided with no first reflecting mirror.

    Abstract: A display having high resistance to counterfeiting including a micro concavo-convex structure layer on a predetermined reference surface, the micro concavo-convex structure layer having a plurality of microstructures arranged on the reference surface. Each of the microstructures is formed of a prism structure made of a material that transmits light with a triangular cross-section having a first surface inclined relative to the reference surface in side view, and a second surface having an inclination angle relative to the reference surface such that the inclination angle is larger than an inclination angle of the first surface relative to the reference surface. A color layer as an example of a functional layer is provided on the second surface of all or some of the plurality of microstructures.

    Abstract: A display body includes a display surface including a plurality of display region groups. Each display region includes at least one reflection surface that is configured to reflect light incident on the display surface toward an area including a corresponding one of reflection directions that are associated with the respective display region groups.     Abstract: A subwavelength grating displaying a colored image exhibiting a color corresponding to a grating period of a subwavelength grating in reflection directions including a specular reflection direction. A relief surface displaying a reflection image in monochromatic reflected light in reflection directions including a direction different from the specular reflection direction. An optical element has a first state in which neither a colored image nor a reflection image is displayed, a second state in which the colored image is mainly displayed, and a third state in which the reflection image is mainly displayed. A plane in which the optical element is disposed and a plane including a line of sight of an observer form an observation angle therebetween. The optical element is observed in any of the first, second and third states according to the observation angle.

    Abstract: A display includes a plurality of pixels arranged in matrix. Each of the pixels includes a single reflecting surface, and all the reflecting surfaces include a set of the reflecting surfaces that allow light incident in a predetermined direction to be reflected in a direction predefined for the respective reflecting surfaces, so that light reflected by all the reflecting surfaces forms an image which appears in a specific direction, which is a direction common to all the reflecting surfaces.
