摘要: There is provided a photocatalyst coating composition that is capable of forming a smooth and even photocatalyst coated film without the formation of aggregated particles. The photocatalyst coating composition according to the present invention includes photocatalyst particles, inorganic oxide particles other than the photocatalyst particles, a dispersion medium composed mainly of water, and a thickening agent, wherein the composition has a viscosity of 0 mPa·s or more to 10 mPa·s or less and, when the concentration of the composition is condensed tenfold, has a viscosity of not less than 40 mPa·s as determined under conditions of a shear rate of 1.0 s−1 and a temperature of 25° C. with a rheometer.

摘要: Provided is a method for readily forming a coating film on a surface of a substrate, that has an excellent applicability and is uniform or homogenous and has a good appearance. The present invention is a method for forming a coating film on a surface of a substrate. The method comprises the steps of: applying an aqueous coating composition to a surface of the substrate to form a liquid film, and drying the liquid film to form a dry film. The liquid film has a fine concave-convex shape including a plurality of convex parts and a plurality of concave parts. In the step of forming the dry film, the liquid film is dried to form the dry film in which the fine concave-convex shape of the liquid film is conserved.
