Abstract: A knee protection airbag device includes: an airbag that is folded and stored; an inflator configured to supply inflation gas to the airbag; a case that stores the airbag and the inflator; and an airbag cover covering the folded airbag. The airbag cover includes a door portion that covers a protruding opening and can be opened when the airbag is deployed and inflated, and is attached to a peripheral wall portion of the case around the door portion. A recessed groove through which a harness main body can be inserted is formed at a portion of a peripheral edge of the protruding opening in the case so as to recess an end edge of the peripheral wall portion. A bead for reinforcement at a peripheral edge portion of the recessed groove is formed on the peripheral wall portion so as to surround a periphery of the recessed groove.

Abstract: A knee protection airbag device includes an airbag, an inflator, an airbag cover, and an attachment base which holds those and is to be attached to a vehicle body member. The attachment base includes a holding seat which is disposed in front of a body portion of the inflator and a folded portion of the airbag, and holds the body portion and the airbag attached by a fastening bolt of the inflator, and attachment seats which are arranged on left and right sides of the holding seat and are attached to the vehicle body member. The airbag cover covers a vicinity of the airbag folded and the body portion of the inflator on a rear side of the attachment base, is attached to the attachment base due to the fastening bolt being fastened, and provides a projection opening on a bottom side of the airbag cover.

Abstract: A knee protection airbag device is provided with an airbag, an inflator, an airbag cover, and an attachment base to be connected to a vehicle body side member. The airbag cover includes a door portion that allows forming of a protrusion-permitting opening when pushed by the airbag that inflates, a door disposition wall portion that covers a lower portion of the airbag in a folded state, and connecting wall portions that extend upward from front and rear edges of the door disposition wall portion and that are connected to the attachment base. The airbag cover defines an accommodating recess capable of accommodating the airbag that is formed by bending a portion of the recessed grooves for bending that are formed by performing press working on a sheet member made of a non-woven fabric.

Abstract: A case for housing an inflator includes a protruding region for storing a connector of a wire harness which is connected to an inflator body. A body of the wire harness extends from the connector in a direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the inflator body. The protruding region protrudes from a circumferential wall of the case partially. The protruding region includes a stopper wall that is opposed to the connector as stored in the case in the axial direction of the inflator, and a pair of limiting walls that are engageable with the wire harness by the leading ends and thus limit an angle range with respect to the inflator body within which the wire harness is rotatable. The limiting walls each extend from the stopper wall and are disposed on both sides of the connector in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the inflator.

Abstract: A vehicle seat with a side airbag apparatus includes a seat back having a seat frame, a side airbag apparatus having an airbag and an inflator, and an entry preventing portion. The seat frame includes a pressure receiving plate and an outer frame portion, which surrounds the pressure receiving plate. The airbag and the inflator are installed in the outer side section of the seat back. The airbag includes a main inflation portion and an auxiliary inflation portion. The auxiliary inflation portion is inflated on the front side of the pressure receiving plate prior to inflation of the main inflation portion, thereby pushing the occupant toward the inner side. The entry preventing portion prevents the auxiliary inflation portion being inflated from entering the gap between the outer frame portion and the pressure receiving plate.

Abstract: An airbag device includes an airbag, an inflator and an attachment base. The airbag includes a body portion, and an inflow port portion, into which the distal end side of the inflator is inserted. The attachment base includes a holding plate portion including a pressing portion and a support portion that are provided at positions displaced around an axial center of the inflator so as to surround a periphery of the inflow port portion into which the distal end side of the inflator is inserted. The pressing portion is plastically deformable so as to approach a side of the support portion by being crimped, and the distal end side of the inflator inserted between the pressing portion and the support portion and the inflow port portion are sandwiched between the crimped pressing portion and the support portion, and are held by the attachment base.

Abstract: An airbag device includes an airbag, an airbag case that is made from metal and includes a base wall and a tubular wall, and an airbag cover that is made from synthetic resin and includes a covering wall and a joint wall. The case and cover are coupled together by insertion of hooks of the tubular wall of the case into joint holes of the joint wall of the cover. An approximation-limiting region suppresses the cover as coupled with the case from moving further towards the base wall of the case, and a separation-limiting region suppresses the cover as coupled with the case from moving further away from the base wall of the case. The approximation-limiting region includes an abutment region and a receiving region engageable with the abutment region. The separation-limiting region includes a retaining hole and a projection engageable with an inner surface of the retaining hole.
