    Abstract: A connector system is provided that includes an electrical connector having a housing, a connector position assurance (CPA) element, and an actuator. The housing defines a socket that receives a mating connector. The CPA element is slidable relative to the housing between a released position and a locked position. The actuator is mounted on the housing in operable engagement with the CPA element. The actuator is moved from a blocking position to a clearance position as the mating connector is loaded into the socket. The actuator in the blocking position mechanically blocks the CPA element from being moved between the released position and the locked position. The actuator in the clearance position allows the CPA element to be moved between the released position and the locked position. The actuator attains the clearance position responsive to the mating connector being fully loaded in the housing.

    Abstract: A coaxial connector assembly includes a housing holding an outer contact and a dielectric holder received in the outer contact. The dielectric holder has a mating segment having a front cavity and a cable segment having a cable cavity receiving a cable assembly. The cable assembly has a pin contact. A center contact is received in the front cavity of the dielectric holder. The center contact has a base positioned in the dielectric holder generally at an intersection of the front cavity and the cable cavity. The center contact has deflectable pin beams extending from the base. The pin beams have flared lead-in tips at distal ends of the beams. The base and the pin beams are axially aligned with the cable axis to receive the pin contact.

    Abstract: A connector system includes an electrical connector that has a housing, a rounded member, and a connector position assurance (CPA) lever. The housing defines a cavity that receives a mating connector and a socket that holds the rounded member therein. The rounded member is moved by the mating connector from a seated position to a lifted position, and attains the lifted position when the mating connector is fully loaded in the cavity. The CPA lever is slidable relative to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position. When the rounded member is in the seated position, a protrusion on the housing blocks movement of the CPA lever from the extended position to the retracted position. When the rounded member is in the lifted position, the rounded member deflects the deflectable tab to clear the protrusion, allowing the CPA lever to be moved to the retracted position.

    Abstract: A header assembly includes a dielectric housing, an electrically conductive outer contact, and a center contact. The housing has a front panel that defines a contact opening therethrough between a front side and a rear side of the front panel. The housing also includes a base panel extending from the rear side of the front panel. The base panel mounts to a circuit board. The outer contact includes a mating segment that extends through the contact opening of the housing and defines a channel that receives the center contact therein. The outer contact also includes a mounting segment that engages the base panel of the housing and is disposed between the base panel and the circuit board. The mounting segment couples and electrically terminates to the circuit board.
