    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a header having a body having a first receptacle and a second receptacle separated by a midwall and a plurality of contacts held by the midwall. The contacts have first pins located within the first receptacle and second pins located within the second receptacle. A first plug is received in the first receptacle. The first plug includes a housing holding a plurality of terminals terminated to corresponding wires having sockets mated with corresponding first pins in the first receptacle. The sockets are configured to be electrically connected to sockets of a second plug received in the second receptacle by the contacts held by the header.

    Abstract: A receptacle contact includes a resilient contact arm having at least one contact area for contacting a mating contact. A support arm is stamped and formed from an area of a wall of the receptacle contact. The support arm cooperates with the resilient contact arm to support the resilient contact arm. An overstress member is provided on the wall of the receptacle contact. The overstress member is formed to extend into the area of the wall from which the support arm was formed. The overstress member cooperates with the support arm to prevent the support arm from being moved beyond the overstress member and beyond the area of the wall from which the support arm was formed, thereby ensuring that the resilient contact arm and the support arm will provide sufficient normal force to maintain a mechanical and electrical engagement with a mating contact.

    Abstract: A header connector includes a housing configured to be mounted to a mounting surface of the circuit board and header contacts held by the housing. The header contacts have mating portions and mounting portions. The mounting portions are configured to be surface mounted to corresponding pads on the circuit board. A spring clip is coupled to the housing. The spring clip has a spring finger extending through the circuit board to engage a bottom side of the circuit board opposite the mounting surface of the circuit board. The spring clip pulls the housing and header contacts toward the mounting surface.

    Abstract: A coaxial connector assembly includes a housing holding an outer contact and a dielectric holder received in the outer contact. The dielectric holder has a mating segment having a front cavity and a cable segment having a cable cavity receiving a cable assembly. The cable assembly has a pin contact. A center contact is received in the front cavity of the dielectric holder. The center contact has a base positioned in the dielectric holder generally at an intersection of the front cavity and the cable cavity. The center contact has deflectable pin beams extending from the base. The pin beams have flared lead-in tips at distal ends of the beams. The base and the pin beams are axially aligned with the cable axis to receive the pin contact.

    Abstract: An electrical cable connector includes a contact subassembly and a housing. The contact subassembly is terminated to an electrical cable. The contact subassembly includes a center contact, a dielectric holder, and an outer contact. The contact subassembly has a protrusion extending outward from an outer surface of the contact subassembly. The housing defines a cavity that receives the contact subassembly therein. The electrical cable extends from the housing through an opening at a rear end of the housing. The housing includes a retention mechanism that engages the protrusion of the contact subassembly to secure an axial position of the contact subassembly in the cavity relative to the housing.
