    摘要： A scheme for redirecting data items to a user of a mobile data communication device that is associated with a host system and communicates therewith via a wireless network. In one embodiment, a method comprises: detecting arrival of data items for a user at the host system from one or more senders, the data items being directed to an address associated with the user at the host system; determining a delivery level provisioned for the user at the host system; and responsive to the delivery level, applying a delivery rule with respect to the data items received for the user to bundle at least a portion of the data items for transport in a single transmission to the user via the wireless network.

    摘要： A system and method of pushing user-selected data items from a host system to a user's mobile data communication device upon detecting the occurrence of one or more user-defined event triggers is provided. The user may then move (or file) the data items to a particular folder within a folder hierarchy stored in the mobile data communication device, or may execute some other system operation on the data item. Software operating at the mobile device and the host system then synchronizes the folder hierarchy of the mobile device with a folder hierarchy of the host system, and any actions executed on the data items at the mobile device are then automatically replicated on the same data items stored at the host system, thus eliminating the need for the user to manually replicate actions at the host system that have been executed at the mobile data communication device.

    摘要： A scheme for synchronizing message folders between a messaging system and a mobile communication device. An embodiment comprises one or more of the following: upon establishment of a communication link between the messaging system and the mobile communication device, retrieving and tagging a source folder structure from a data store associated with the messaging system and updating a target folder structure on the mobile communication device based on the source folder structure. Thereafter, messages stored on the messaging system and the mobile communication device are compared to find matches that are moved within the respective folder structures based on a move flag status scheme.
