摘要： An image display device which comprises an image display panel, in which particles or liquid powders as image display media are sealed in cells formed in an isolated manner from one another by partition walls between two opposed substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and, in which the particles or the liquid powders, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image, is characterized in that: (1) the partition walls are manufactured by a photolithography method, and a shape of the partition wall is a taper shape such that a width of an end portion at a side of a rear substrate is larger than that at a side of a front substrate; (3-1) a plurality of cells are arranged in such a manner that they do not correspond one for one to the positions of pixels for displaying the image; (3-2) a ratio of cell area/pixel area is formed to be smaller than 4; and (2) the image display panel is manufactured by: forming a first layer made of photosensitive color composite on one substrate; forming a second layer made of photosensitive composite, which has a light transmission higher than that of the first layer and a thickness larger than that of the first layer, on the first layer; performing an exposure through a mask with respect to the first layer and the second layer on the substrate; performing a developing and a washing with respect to the exposed first and second layers so as to form color partition walls on the substrate; and connecting the other substrate to the color partition walls.

摘要： An image display device which comprises an image display panel, in which particles or liquid powders as image display media are sealed in cells formed in an isolated manner from one another by partition walls between two opposed substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and, in which the particles or the liquid powders, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image, is characterized in that: (1) the partition walls are manufactured by a photolithography method, and a shape of the partition wall is a taper shape such that a width of an end portion at a side of a rear substrate is larger than that at a side of a front substrate; (3-1) a plurality of cells are arranged in such a manner that they do not correspond one for one to the positions of pixels for displaying the image; (3-2) a ratio of cell area/pixel area is formed to be smaller than 4; and (2) the image display panel is manufactured by: forming a first layer made of photosensitive color composite on one substrate; forming a second layer made of photosensitive composite, which has a light transmission higher than that of the first layer and a thickness larger than that of the first layer, on the first layer; performing an exposure through a mask with respect to the first layer and the second layer on the substrate; performing a developing and a washing with respect to the exposed first and second layers so as to form color partition walls on the substrate; and connecting the other substrate to the color partition walls.

摘要： An information display panel wherein display media consists of at least one kind of particle and having optical reflectance and charging characteristics are sealed between two opposed substrates, at least one of which is transparent. The display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information. A member for securing a gap space is formed in the outer and inner peripheral sides of a sealing agent placement part provided in the outer edge portion of an display area of the panel. The member provided in the outer peripheral side is provided evenly in each side and densely in each corner portion. The member provided in the inner peripheral side is provided with chamfered corners in each corner portion, so that the member for securing the gap space does not contact to the sealing agent placement part.

In an information display panel of the present invention, wherein display media consisting of at least one kind of particle and having optical reflectance and charging characteristics are sealed between two opposed substrates, at least one of which is transparent, wherein the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as an image or the like, and wherein in the outer and inner peripheral sides of a sealing agent placement part provided in the outer edge portion of an information display area of the panel to seal a gap between one substrate and the other substrate, a member for securing a gap space is formed, the member for securing the gap space (bar spacer) provided in the outer peripheral side of the sealing agent placement part is provided evenly in each side and densely in each corner portion, and the member for securing the gap space (frame rib) provided in the inner peripheral side of the sealing agent placement part is provided with its chamfered corners in each corner portion, so that the member for securing the gap space does not contact to the sealing agent placement part.

摘要： In an information display panel having an information display portion, in which a voltage is applied between pixel electrodes arranged respectively to substrates and display media are driven so as to display information such as an image, the information display panel has: an electrode-wiring concentrated portion in which electrode-wirings derived from the pixel electrodes on both substrates are concentrated at the outer side of the information display portion so as to connect with a connecting terminal portion used for connecting with an external driving circuit; and a frame rib arranged outside of the information display portion; wherein the electrode-wirings connected to the pixel electrodes arranged on one substrate are electrically connected to the electrode-wirings on the other substrate, at the outer side of the information display portion by using a sealing agent including conductive particles, wherein a width of the frame rib corresponding to the electrode-wiring concentrated portion is formed wider than that of the other portion of the frame rib, wherein an opening at an end portion of the substrate corresponding to the electrode-wiring concentrated portion is filled by a moisture-proof material, and wherein the sealing agent including conductive particles is arranged at a portion other than the electrode-wiring concentrated portion.

The present invention provides an information display panel and a method of manufacturing the same, which can easily remove the display media remaining on the gap maintaining member, and, which can obtain a panel having an excellent parallelism 340 by evenly pressing the substrates during the substrate stacking operation.
