摘要: A graphics processing unit is provided. A basic model display processing unit generates and displays rendering data based on three-dimensional model information on an object to be rendered. An effect model processing unit performs processing for applying a predetermined effect to a three-dimensional model of the object. A basic model storing unit stores a basic model file which defines a basic form of the object. An effect model storing unit stores an effect model file which describes the effect to be applied to the basic model in order to create a variation form while maintaining the identity of the basic form of the object. An effect processing unit applies the effect described in the effect model file to the basic model of the object, thereby changing the basic model. A rendering unit performs graphics processing for displaying a variation of the object based on the basic model changed.

摘要: An information processing device is capable of handling changes occurring in values of information possessed by targets. Relationships between information are expressed as relationship structures through connection in a hierarchical manner using links expressing topic nodes expressing content of information as reference information. The relationship structures are generated for each provider providing information and generate an overall relationship structure for all of the information. A weighting is assigned to links so that values can be calculated for the topic nodes using just the weightings of nodes linking to topic nodes. These values are such that in a case where user information is utilized, topic node values relating to this information are added. It is therefore possible to know the value of information with respect to a user using these topic nodes.

摘要: On at least one of computers constituting a plurality of nodes on a network N, a management information file representing links between nodes is stored. The computer of each node stores, into a predetermined memory area on the network, digital information pieces generated on the computer. The computer sends the stored digital information pieces to the network N, in response to a request from another computer. The computer which issued the request obtains, from the network N, the sent digital information pieces and the management information file and visualizes the obtained digital information pieces in a view particular thereto; the visualization is carried out on the basis of relations between the request-issuing computer node and the computer node storing the obtained digital information pieces, wherein the relations are identified by the use of the management information file.

摘要: A graphical user interface for an information mediation system is provided for assisting the user to discover an information source that matches a sense of value of the user which normally can not be explicitly expressed in language, from a plurality of information sources such as bulletin board sites. The information mediation apparatus collects information from the plurality of information sources, analyzes the information, and generates one or more guideposts corresponding to information values thereof and data indicating a correlation between the plurality of information sources relative to the guideposts. A client apparatus receives one or more guideposts and a set of data containing information indicating the correlation of the information sources relative to the guidepost from the information mediation apparatus, and displays the correlation between these information sources in such a mode that the user can easily understand.

摘要: When performing distributed processing in processing devices connected to a network and a processing managing device for managing the processing devices, it is possible to eliminate the overhead of the processing management device. When the processing management device (PU) (203) managing processing devices (SPU) (207) under its control receives a task request from one of the SPU, the processing managing device (203) specifies a cluster matched with the size or type of the task in a cluster list listed up in a predetermined memory, allocates the task to the specified cluster, and transmits to at least one of the cluster and the task request source SPU, communication setting information (such as a communication address) of the other, thereby enabling direct execution result transmission/reception by the network communication between the cluster and the request source SPU.

摘要: A simulator system containing a plurality of individual simulators to simulate behavior of a predetermined simulation target, wherein: individual simulators 3 select the simulation target satisfying a predetermined notification condition among simulation targets to send the information related thereto to an intercommunication control apparatus 2; and an intercommunication control apparatus 2 executes the processing of the content determined according to a condition related to this notified simulation target to notify the result of the execution to individual simulators 3. Alternatively, individual simulators 3 can simulate the behavior of the predetermined simulation target and user terminal 1 to determine the behavior of the user object according to a designation inputted from a user. A user terminal 1 obtains the information of the simulation target from individual simulators 3 for each synchronization timing determined on the basis of the predetermined timing determination rule, predicts the behavior of the simulation target on the basis of the last obtained information of the simulation target at a point other than the synchronization timing and shows the result of the prediction to the user.

摘要: When performing distributed processing in processing devices connected to a network and a processing managing device for managing the processing devices, it is possible to eliminate the overhead of the processing management device. The processing management device (PU) (203) managing processing devices (SPU) (207) under its control lists the network address of the SPU (207) and other SPU connected to the network and resource information indicating the current task execution ability of the SPU in a resource list. When one of the SPU transmits a task request to the PU (203), the PU (203) specifies one or more SPU capable of performing the task request in the resource list and requests the specified SPU to execute a task including the execution result specification destination, thereby enabling execution result transmission/reception not using the PU (203).
