    摘要: An electronic timepiece with a solar cell includes a timepiece movement, a timepiece case for housing the timepiece movement, a casing ring for housing and holding the timepiece movement in the timepiece case, a solar cell and a dial. The solar cell is disposed almost vertically to a solar cell positioning portion provided in the casing ring, and the solar cell has a slender strip shape formed on a flexible substrate. Consequently, the solar cell is not disposed in the timepiece movement, and it is only necessary to change the casing ring as an external component even when a panel cover diameter is changed. Further, a solar cell can be coiled to match the size of the casing ring when it is incorporated in the casing ring, so that a common solar cell can be used despite a change in the panel cover diameter of the timepiece.

    摘要: According to the present invention, in an electronic timepiece with a solar cell comprising a timepiece movement, a timepiece case for housing the timepiece movement, a casing ring for housing and holding the timepiece movement in the timepiece case, a solar cell and a dial, the solar cell is disposed almost vertically to a solar cell positioning portion provided in the casing ring, and the solar cell has a slender strip shape formed on a flexible substrate.     摘要: An improved cardiotachometer comprises a transmitting section and a receiving section. The transmitting section includes a detection circuit for detecting electrocardiographic signals obtained from a pair of electrodes mounted near the heart of a human body. The transmitting section processes and transmits the electrocardiographic data with ID code data to the receiving section in the form of a radio signal. The receiving �section?! compares the transmitted ID code with a stored ID code. If the two codes do not agree, the receiving section does not make any calculations or modify the previous signal. If the two codes agree, a genuine reception has resulted and the receiving section computes a heart rate based on the electrocardiographic data. A display section displays the computed heart rate. The use of the ID code comparison method eliminates erroneous reception of signals generated by noise or interference by the receiving section.

    摘要: In the present invention, a light permeable dial trim ring is arranged on the inner side of a solar cell, and a part of a solar cell photovoltaic area and a part of the dial trim ring which covers the solar cell photovoltaic area are arranged to be lower than a dial upper surface height. Further, a dial thickness of the dial inner side is set larger than a thickness of a dial peripheral edge on which the light permeable dial trim ring is mounted while assuring a light leading portion for a light which enters the dial trim ring. Alternatively, a flange portion which fixes a glass to a watch case is arranged outside the light permeable dial trim ring and the solar cell, the dial trim ring is arranged directly below the glass, and a blind portion is provided above the dial trim ring or the solar cell. As a result, a gap between the glass lower surface and the dial upper surface can be reduced, thereby eliminating a “hollow-eyed” design.

The world watch comprises counters for counting the numbers of driving signals used for driving the area indicating hand and local time indicating hand, respectively; and a drive controlling circuit for generating, when the count of at least one of the counters reaches a predetermined value, a driving signal for driving the date indicating hand in a normal or reverse turning direction based on a judgment whether the predetermined value has been described by an increase in the count or by a decrease in the count. With this arrangement, the standard time and date of an optical area are correctly and easily displayed.
