摘要: A vehicle customizing system is highly reliable in the event of communication failures. For setting control characteristic values pertaining to functions of control units to control characteristic values favored by the user, the functions and the present control characteristic values set for the functions are displayed on a display unit. The control characteristic values, which are changed using the display unit, are stored in first function information tables of the control units, which directly perform the functions. Even in the event of a communication failure, the control units are capable, on their own, of controlled objects in order to perform the functions thereof based on the control characteristic values stored in the first function information tables.

摘要: A rainfall determination apparatus for determining rainfall based on data relating to a wiping operation of a wiper. The apparatus includes a detection device for detecting the wiping operation every time this operation is performed; a timer for starting to clock a predetermined period of time for each wiping operation; a counter for counting the number of times of the wiping operation performed before the predetermined period of time has elapsed; and a determination device for determining that rainfall occurs when the counter counts a predetermined number of times of the wiping operation which is successively performed. The timing of lighting the headlight of a vehicle can be changed in accordance with the result of the determination about the rainfall situation based on the wiping operation of the existing wiper. The apparatus is inexpensive and can be easily built in an automatic lighting system for vehicles, which is relatively expensive.

摘要: A cylindrical housing is mounted with an igniter and a diffuser portion having a gas discharge port. A cylindrical member is disposed and fixed in the housing so as to form a cylindrical gap reaching the gas discharge port. An obstacle is provided in the gap, and a first gas passage hole, a second gas passage hole and a third gas passage hole are formed. A gas generating agent is ignited and burnt by activation of the igniter to generate gas, part of the generated gas flows into the gap through the first gas passage hole (f1), part of the gas that has passed therethrough flows again into the cylindrical member through the second gas passage hole (f2) to aid the combustion of the gas generating agent, and then the gas flows into the gap through the third gas passage hole (f3) and finally is discharged from the gas discharge port.

摘要: A cleaning adapter unit for connecting a cleaning fluid supply device to different type endoscopes comprises adapter valve assemblies which correspond to the different endoscopes, respectively. Each adapter valve assembly comprises a valve sleeve detachably connectable to the cleaning fluid supply device and a valve body received in the valve sleeve for slide movement and forming a valve chamber leading to the passage in the valve sleeve. The valve sleeve has a passage and is provided with a first fitting at one end thereof which is formed so as to be hermetically received in a valve casing of one of the different endoscopes, and the valve body is provided with first and second passages formed separately therein and opens at opposite ends, respectively, and with a second fitting at one ends thereof opposite to the one end of the valve sleeve at which the first fitting is formed so as to be hermetically received in the valve casing of the other different endoscope. The valve body brings the passage into communication with the first passage through the valve chamber when the cleaning adapter unit is attached to the one different endoscope by fitting the first fitting in the valve casing of the endoscope and with the second passage through the valve chamber when attached to the other endoscope by fitting the second fitting in the valve casing of the endoscope.

摘要: A gas generator that can prevent erroneous operation in which the combustion of a gas generating agent inside one combustion chamber is caused by the combustion of a gas generating agent in the other combustion chamber. Two combustion chambers 30, 50 are separated by a partition wall 35. The partition wall 35 is fixed by discontinuous protrusions 61, 62 formed in a housing 11. Air tightness between two combustion chambers 30, 50 is ensured by two retainers 80, 90.
