摘要: The antiglare layer includes at least one resin coat layer (a) containing particles and a resin coat layer (b) laminated on said resin coat layer (a). The resincoat layer (b) contains particles and has a surface uneven configuration. An average particle size of the particles contained in the resin coat layer (b) is smaller than or equal to an average particle size of the particles contained in the resin coat layer (a), is capable of restraining the screen glaring phenomenon while maintaining the antiglare property and in which the whiting is observed to the least extent.

Furthermore, a liquid crystal display is provided in which the polarizing plate with an optical compensation film is furnished on at least one side of the liquid crystal cell. Thus, display irregularities can be improved.

摘要: The present invention, a light diffusing sheet comprising a transparent resin layer having a minute unevenness formed on a surface thereof on at least one side of a transparent substrate, and a haze value of the light diffusing sheet is 30% or more, a ratio (Ra/Sm) of a center-line average surface roughness (Ra:μm) and an average height-depth spacing (Sm:μm) is 0.005 or less, and the Ra satisfies a relationship of 0.1 ≦Ra ≦0.4. The light diffusing sheet enables suppression of glaring of a screen and white blurring, while maintaining antiglare property, having excellent image visibility.

摘要: A method is provided by which a highly functional thin retardation plate with no appearance defect can be produced. First, as shown in FIG. 1A, a solution of a liquid crystalline compound is applied on a transparent base 1 and dried, or alternatively, a liquid crystalline compound on the melt is applied on the transparent base 1, and thus a liquid crystalline compound-containing layer 2a is formed. Then, as shown in FIG. 1B, the liquid crystalline compound-containing layer 2a is brought to a liquid crystal state or a liquid state so as to form a layer 2b. An alignment substrate 3 is brought into contact with an upper portion of the layer 2a so that the liquid crystal compound is aligned in a particular direction. Then, after the liquid crystalline compound is aligned in the particular direction, as shown in FIG. 1C, the liquid crystalline compound-containing layer 2b on the melt is solidified, and the alignment substrate 3 is removed. Thus, a retardation plate 4 composed of the transparent base 1 and an optically anisotropic layer 2c is produced.
