Abstract:
There is provided a pneumatic tire effectively reducing a rolling resistance and a flat spot while sufficiently maintaining a road noise at a low level, which comprises a belt 3 comprised of two or more cord layers 1, 2, cords of which layers being crossed with each other, superimposed at an outer circumferential side of a crown portion of a toroidally extending carcass, and belt reinforcing layers 5, 6 comprised of reinforcing cords 4 extending substantially in a circumferential direction of the tire and arranged at an outer circumferential side of the belt 3 so as to cover a full belt width W and each side region of the belt 3, in which the reinforcing cord 4 is a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate fiber cord having a total count of not more than 240 dtex.
Abstract:
A rubberized fiber material is used in a belt reinforcing layer of a pneumatic tire, and comprises polyketone fibers having substantially a repeat unit represented by the following formula (I): (wherein A is a moiety derived from an ethylenically unsaturated compound polymerized through ethylenic linkage, and may be same or different in repeat units) and a coating rubber covering the fibers, in which the coating rubber has a modulus at 100% elongation (room temperature) of not less than 2.5 MPa but not more than 5.5 MPa and a rebound resilience of not less than 60%. Also, a pneumatic tire comprises a belt reinforcing layer made from the rubberized fiber material.

Abstract:
In a quenching apparatus for quenching a glass sheet that has been heated and bent in a heating furnace, a cooling gas blows onto the glass sheet to provide a distribution of a temperature and/or a distribution of a static pressure in at least one section in the quenching apparatus. The distribution of a temperature provides different temperatures between the both surfaces of the glass sheet, while the distribution of a static pressure is nonuniform in a part of at least one surface of the glass sheet. The distributions can modify a shape of the glass sheet given in the heating furnace so that a degree of freedom in shape for manufacturing a bent and tempered glass sheet by utilizing its self-weight can be improved.
