    摘要: An apparatus for abrasive machining has an annular support (1) and a faceplate (5) which is operatively connected to a drive and is mounted on a thrust bearing (2) for rotation in a radial bearing (8). According to the invention, the faceplate (5) has a coaxial bushing (7) journalled in the radial bearing (8), and the faceplate (5) and the annular support (1) are elastically coupled to each other by means of an axle (9) extending through the bushing (7) and biased by a spring in the direction of preload in the thrust bearing (2), the faceplate (5) being connected to the axle (9) for rotation relative thereto by an auxiliary thrust bearing (12) and having on the outer cylindrical periphery thereof a driven member of the drive, a plane (17) drawn through the middle of width of the driven member (16) of the drive extending through a plane (18) drawn substantially through the middle of width of the radial bearing (8 ).

    摘要: The machine for abrasive treatment comprises an abrasive tool (1) and a device for establishing the holding-down force within the machining zone, said device having a housing (3) provided with guideways, wherein poppet sleeves (4) carrying spindles (5) are free to reciprocate so as to translate the holding-down force to the abrasive tool (1), and a feed mechanism (14) located on the housing (3). According to the invention, in the device for establishing the holding-down force the poppet sleeves (4) are interlinked through an elastic member which is regidly coupled to the feed mechanism (14), while the latter mechanism is adapted to damp the travel of the elastic member in the forward and reverse directions of feed. According to an equivalent embodiment of the invention, in the device for establishing the holding-down force the poppet sleeves (4) are interlinked through at least one elastic member (11a) which is regidly coupled to said poppet sleeves, while the feed mechanism (14) is associated with the elastic member (11a) and is adapted to damp the travel of the elastic member (11a) in the forward and reverse directions of feed.

    摘要: A method of machining outer surface of bodies of revolution by way of cutting, wherein a blank and a cutting tool are rotated about their axes, arranged out of line in mutually perpendicular planes, and are moved relative to each other at the beginning of a pass in the direction perpendicular to the blank surface being machined for cutting-in through the cutting depth, while the length of the cutting edge of the cutting tool is selected such that it spans the width of the blank cutting surface and, in the course of the cutting tool rotation, successively passes the blank cutting surface over the entire length thereof.The cutting machine for accomplishing the above process, has bed stocks which are mounted for positioning and rotating the blank being machined, and a rest arranged in guides provided in the bed. The rest is designed to carry a cutting tool with end cutters mounted on the rest for rotation about an axis arranged out of line with the centerline of the stocks in a plane perpendicular to the plane passing through the centerline of the stocks. The rest is mounted in the guides provided in the bed parallel with the rotation axis of the cutting tool whose end has a diameter somewhat greater than the distance between the stock centers in the course of cutting, while the cutters are arranged essentially radially at the end face and have a cutting edge length somewhat smaller than the length of the end face radius.
