    摘要: The present application provides a multi-motion-platform parallel robot and a method of constructing the same. The parallel robot comprises a symmetrical basic parallel mechanism and one or more symmetrical branch parallel mechanism. The basic parallel mechanism comprises a symmetrical basic foundation platform, a symmetrical basic motion platform, and symmetrical main branched-chains. The branch parallel mechanism comprises a symmetrical branch foundation platform, a symmetrical branch motion platform, and symmetrical branch branched-chains. The basic parallel mechanism and the branch parallel mechanism are connected by means of a multiple-output motion pair having symmetrical output ends, and share one set of driving pairs and drive and control devices. The multi-motion-platform parallel robot and it's method of construction can be used for various industrial robots, three-dimensional profile modeling and scaling robots and walking robots, and have the advantages of having a simple structure, being easy to standardize, having a high production efficiency, and the like.

    摘要: A parallel kinematics mechanism is provided for uses such as robotics or machining. The mechanism has various limbs designed as elbow-linkages, at least some of which are actuatable, for moving an end component with multiple degrees of freedom. The mechanism advantageously facilitates an improved workspace-to-footprint ratio and a closed-form solution for the forward kinematics. The mechanism comprises a joint assembly having a plurality of revolute joints for connecting to at least three limbs. In various embodiments of the invention, the end component has three, four, five and six degrees of freedom.

    摘要: The valve seat and guide machine comprises a base structure on which is pivotally supported a pantograph having a major arm on which is mounted a drive motor and minor arm which moves slidably with respect to the major arm. Pivotally attached to each arm of the pantograph is a head portion with a support frame which retains a spherical head and a plurality of sphere seats for supporting the spherical head so that it can pivot around its centerpoint at the center of the sphere. A stepper motor is disposed at the top of the spherical head and a spindle disposed with the spherical head retains a cutting bit and a pilot which extend from the bottom of the spherical head. Small z-axis displacement and spindle feed/retraction along the z-(vertical) axis is provided by the stepper motor. The drive motor rotates a transmission linkage which, in turn, rotates the spindle using cone-shaped pinions to cause the cutting bit, typically carbide, to cut the valve seat. Small x,y displacements are enabled by moving the entire spherical housing and its supporting sphere seats with respect to the support frame. The pantograph swings up and down on the base to provide large z-axis displacement to remove the spindle from the cutting position and to provide clearance for movement to another machine site. A system controller receives feedback from system monitors to control a spindle rotations and feed/retraction.

The pantograph swings up and down on the base to provide large z-axis displacement to remove the spindle from the cutting position and to provide clearance for movement to another machine site. A system controller receives feedback from system monitors to control a spindle rotations and feed/retraction.

    摘要: A swivel vise which is used primarily for finishing gun stocks and is characterized by a conventional vise assembly mounted on one end of a ball mount shaft for engaging a gun stock and a ball joint assembly also engaging the ball mount shaft intermediate the ends thereof and spaced from the vise assembly, to facilitate manipulation of the ball mount shaft and the vise assembly into a selected position. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, positioning of the vise assembly in a selected attitude is facilitated by operation of a ring tensioning device which receives the ball joint assembly and is mounted on a mount block that can be attached to a work bench. The ball joint assembly includes a split ball carried by a split ring, the ends of which split ring are attached to fixed and movable elements, respectively, of the ring tensioning device, in order to manipulate the vise assembly into the selected position with respect to the mount block for finishing the gun stock.
