摘要: A method, network nodes and wireless devices for scheduling transmissions over preconfigured uplink resources (PUR) are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method is performed by a network node for scheduling a plurality of wireless devices with periodic preconfigured uplink shared channel resources. The method includes configuring a wireless device of the plurality of wireless devices with preconfigured uplink resources, PURs, the PURs having a transmission length and a periodicity, the PURs being configured based at least in part on one or more multiplexing criteria for multiplexing the plurality of wireless devices for PUR transmission.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for random access in a wireless communication system such as, e.g., a wireless communication system having a non-terrestrial (e.g., satellite-based) radio access network. Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for random access comprises performing an open-loop timing advance estimation procedure to thereby determine an open-loop timing advance estimate for an uplink between the wireless device and a base station. The method further comprises transmitting a random access preamble using the open-loop timing advance estimate. In this manner, random access can be performed even in the presence of a long propagation delay such as that present in a satellite-based radio access network. Embodiments of a method performed by a base station and corresponding embodiments of a base station are also disclosed.

摘要: Random Access (RA) formats are defined for NB-IoT operation in TDD mode. The formats are defined to allow use of the legacy LTE subframe configurations for TDD. The formats specify a predetermined, even number P of symbol groups composing a RA preamble, wherein each symbol group comprises a Cyclic Prefix (CP) and a number X of symbols. The P symbol groups are divided into symbol group sets fitting into 1, or 2, or 3 contiguous uplink subframes, each comprising at least two symbol groups transmitted back-to-back (i.e., contiguously in time), and at least two symbol group sets are transmitted non-contiguously in time across a number of uplink subframes over which the RA preamble is transmitted. The number of symbol groups in a set can be two or three, and the number of symbol groups is four or six, respectively. Symbol groups within a set are transmitted on adjacent uplink subframes. Five format options are defined, which map to various of the LTE TDD configurations.

摘要: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in idle mode, for determining common search space (CSS) for NB-IoT paging is disclosed. The method comprises determining a set of periodic subframes as a Paging Occasion (PO) subframe pattern. The method further comprises monitoring a starting subframe of paging CSS for a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI). The starting subframe of paging CSS is determined as follows: a first subframe (SF0) defined by the Paging Occasion subframe pattern, is used when SF0 is determined to be a valid downlink subframe. A next valid downlink subframe after SF0 is used when SF0 is determined to be an invalid downlink subframe.

Each coverage class may be associated with a unique number of repetitions of the preamble sequence transmission.

Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises obtaining a value to be used to offset, extend, and/or scale one or more timers related to the satellite-based radio access network relative to values for non-satellite-based radio access networks. The method further comprises utilizing the value to offset a start of one or more timers, extend one or more timers, and/or scale one or more timers and performing one or more actions based on the one or more offset timers, the one or more extended timers, and/or the one or more scaled timers. Embodiments of a method performed by a base station and corresponding embodiments of a base station are also disclosed.

摘要: A method in a network node is provided. The method comprises determining (1304) a frame structure configuration for a narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) system operating in time division duplex (TDD) mode. The frame structure comprises a plurality of subframes. The plurality of subframes comprises at least one of each of a downlink subframe, an uplink subframe, and a special subframe comprising a gap period during which no transmission occurs. The plurality of subframes is arranged such that the frame structure configuration is compatible with an uplink configuration of the NB-IOT system, e.g. having a subcarrier spacing of 3.75 kHz. The method further comprises communicating the determined frame structure configuration to a wireless device operating in the NB-IoT system.
