摘要: Systems and method are disclosed herein that relate to support for virtual Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) bridge management, Quality of Service (QoS) mapping, and TSN related scheduling in a cellular communications system. In some embodiments, a method performed by one or more network nodes of a cellular communications system operating as a virtual TSN bridge of a TSN network comprises providing, to a controller associated with the TSN network, parameters that relate to capabilities of the virtual TSN bridge. The parameters that relate to the capabilities of the virtual TSN bridge comprise a first parameter that defines a clock accuracy of an entity in the cellular communications system that operates gating control for the virtual TSN bridge and a second parameter that informs the controller associated with the TSN network that the virtual TSN bridge or a particular egress port of the virtual TSN bridge is restricted to exclusive gating.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a method for use in a wireless device is provided. The method comprises waking up from a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode in a cell. The method further comprises determining whether the cell is the same as a previous cell of the wireless device. In response to determining that the cell is not the same as the previous cell, the method further comprises determining whether the wireless device missed a wake-up signal opportunity in the cell. The method further comprises monitoring each of the paging occasions associated with the wake-up signal opportunity if the cell is not the same as the previous cell and the wake-up signal opportunity was missed.

摘要: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a core network node comprises: obtaining a mapping of core network (CN) slice identifiers to radio access network (RAN) slice identifiers; receiving a slice registration request from a user equipment (UE); determining a slice identifier associated with the slice registration request; and sending a slice registration response to the UE. The slice registration response includes the determined slice identifier. According to some embodiments, a method for use in a network node comprises obtaining a mapping of CN slice identifiers to RAN slice identifiers. The method may further comprise receiving a connection request from a UE that includes a network slice identifier; determining a RAN slice identifier based on the network slice identifier; and applying a policy of a network slice associated with the determined network slice identifier to the requested connection.

When a first period of time has elapsed, the RNN transmits, towards the wireless device, the transmission using a second transmission mode associated with a second level of coverage extension. The second level of coverage extension is higher than the first level of coverage extension.

摘要: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a wireless device of acquiring system information associated with a core network comprises receiving system information from a network node. The network node is connected to one or more core networks. The system information includes an indication of a network type (e.g., enhanced packet system (EPS), fifth generation system (5GS), etc.) for each core network. The method further comprises determining a capability of the wireless device for connecting to the plurality of network types, and determining whether to connect to a core network based on the network type and the capability of the wireless device. In particular embodiments, the indication of the network type comprises a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) connected to the network node and an indication of network types supported by each PLMN.

摘要: A radio network node in a radio access network (RAN) and a method therein for Paging Policy Differentiation (PPD). The radio network node receives from a core network a Downlink (DL) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) associated with a wireless device. The DL PDU is comprised in a Quality of Service (QoS)-flow, is originated from a respective service, and comprises a Paging Policy Indicator (PPI) associated with the respective service. The radio network node extracts the PPI by means of a Central Unit User Plane (CU-UP). By means of the CU-UP, the radio network node informs a Central Unit Control Plane (CU-CP) about the PPI. Further, by means of the CU-CP, the radio network node triggers paging of the wireless device. Furthermore, the radio network node pages the wireless device according to the PPI associated with the respective service.

摘要: A communication device, network node and methods therein in for handling network slices in a wireless communication network are disclosed. The communication device encrypts Network Slice Selection Assistance information, NSSAI, using public key cryptography and includes the encrypted NSSAI in a Non Access Stratum, NAS, registration request. Then the communication device sends a Radio Resource Control, RRC, request to the network node including the NAS registration request. The network node receives the RRC connection request from the communication device and selects a network function based on information in the RRC connection request. The network node forwards the NAS registration request to the network function and forwards to the communication device a NAS registration response received from the network function after the network function decrypting the NSSAI using a PLMN private key.

摘要: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of paging policy differentiation in a 5G telecommunications network is provided. A User Plane Function (UPF) receives downlink data for a target User Equipment (UE), and provides a data notification to a Session Management Function (SMF), the data notification comprising a Quality of Service (QoS) indicator, which the SMF uses to determine QoS Information (QoSI) that is sent to an Access Management Function (AMF). The AMF determines whether a paging policy selection should be performed by the AMF or by a Radio Access Node (RAN) that serves the target UE: if by the AMF, the AMF selects a paging policy based on the QoSI and sends a paging message to the RAN, which pages the UE; if by the RAN, the AMF provides paging policy information to the RAN, which selects a paging policy and pages the UE accordingly.
