    摘要: An image crop circuit performs a crop process for an input video image under the control of a CPU. An image shape changing circuit performs an image shape changing process such a mosaic process for a video signal that is cropped corresponding to a control signal. The image shape changing circuit supplies the video image to a graphic inserter circuit. A GDC that is a graphic dedicated CPU draws a positive region of a contour line of the crop region as a solid line and a negative region as a dotted line. The graphic inserter circuit superimposes the contour line with the video signal that is cropped and outputs the resultant signal to both a CRT monitor and an output terminal.

    摘要: During the carrying out of a dim effect, a signal generated at a generator is mixed with a video signal and a matt signal at a mixer, a key signal and background signal are added at an adder, and the resultant signal is outputted. During the carrying out of a fade effect, in similar manner, the signal is mixed with the key signal and a fixed value signal at the mixer, the video signal and background signal are added at the adder, and the resultant signal is outputted. Extended dim effect and extended fade effect give depth to a picture with a color approximation where the depth of the image does not completely merge into the background.

    摘要: In a color video signal processing circuit for use in processing two chrominance component signals produced on the reproduction side of a video tape recorder, in which two chrominance component signals have been time compressed and successively recorded in cyclically repeated fashion as one series of chrominance signal, such a signal is time expanded and made into two series of chrominance signals on the reproduction side. Each of the two series of chrominance signals, i.e., the current signal, and the signal 1H before each are subjected to digital processing for detection of a correlation therebetween and an arithmetical mean value of both the signals is output when there is such a correlation and also the level of the current signal is higher than a reference level, whereas the current signal is output as it is when the level of the current signal is lower than the reference level or when there is no such correlation even if the level of the current signal is higher than the reference level.

    摘要: A special effect picture device is disclosed in which a transformed picture which is non-linear with respect to an original signal is formed using a video signal and a key signal for the original signal. A video signal is stored in a video signal storage unit and a key signal is stored in a key signal storage unit. The read-out addresses for the information concerning an upper picture of the transformed picture and the information concerning a lower picture of the transformed picture and also the information concerning the depth are generated by a read-out address generating unit. The key signal read out from the key signal storage unit and the video signal read out from the video signal storage unit are respectively divided by a dividing unit into upper and lower key signals and upper and lower video signals responsive to the read-out address for the upper picture and read-out address for the lower picture. The upper picture and the lower picture are synthesized by a picture synthesizing unit using the upper and lower key signals and the upper and lower key signals divided by the dividing unit. The synthesized picture synthesized by the picture synthesizing unit is freed of unnecessary portions depending on the depth information generated by the read-out address generating unit for generating the transformed picture.

    摘要: An apparatus and method of signal processing for rounding digital data, such as digital video data, wherein ten-bit digital data may be rounded to eight-bit digital data. Included is a bit pattern generator for generating at least four bit patterns, each bit pattern having at least two single-bit samples. One fixed bit pattern is selected whereby the value of the low-order two bits of the ten-bit digital data is rounded and added to the high-order eight bits to produce rounded eight-bit data. Since fixed bit patterns are used in the rounding process, the rounding of digital video data, and thus picture quality, is improved. In addition, the adverse generation of an inherent vertical bit pattern can be prevented by re-ordering the single-bit samples into a fixed bit pattern.

The output of a random noise generator is filtered by a filtering device having a variable filter characteristic that is controlled by an adjustable filter control signal. The filtered random noise signal is compared with a reference level that changes with respect to time, and the output of the comparator controls a switch to select one or the other of the video signals, depending upon whether the filtered random noise signal exceeds the changing reference level, thus producing special image switching effects.
