摘要: A battery discharge measurement device for determining the state of discharge for a battery has a battery voltage measurement unit adapted to measure and store a battery voltage and a battery usage activity detector for detecting a predefined battery usage activity draining current from the battery and triggering a voltage recovery period. A processor unit is provided for estimating a battery voltage of the battery during the voltage recovery period based on the measured and stored battery voltage and the number of predefined battery usage activities detected since the battery voltage measurement unit measured the battery voltage of the battery.

摘要: The invention provides microprocessor extensions for cooperating with a sequential arithmetic-logic unit (ALU) to execute a multiply-and-accumulate operation (MAc). The ALU performs a continuous sequence of accumulation instructions synchronously with a clock signal (CLK1). Buffers (BUF1, BUF2) store input data which are fed to a combinatorial multiplier (MULT) by first buses (L1, L2). A second bus (N1) forwards the product to the ALU, where it is accumulated with previous data. Since at least the first buses operate independently of the clock signal, they do not limit the speed of the MAc operation. In particular embodiments, a finite state machine (FSM) controls the buses on the basis of triggers, e.g., signals from the multiplier and/or ALU indicating the completion of their respective instructions. The FSM may be operable in a low-power mode. The invention also relates to methods, computer programs and the use of a sequential ALU for executing MAc operations.

摘要: A sensor and guide wire assembly (21; 31; 41) for intravascular measurements of physiological variables in a living body includes a core wire (22; 32; 42) and sensor element (23; 33; 43). The sensor element (23; 33; 43) includes basically a mounting base (24; 34; 44) and a pressure sensitive end portion (25; 35; 45) whose upper side is provided with a pressure sensitive device, such as a membrane (26; 36; 46). The mounting base (24; 34; 44) extends downwards from the end opposite to the pressure sensitive end (25; 35; 45), such that, when the sensor element (23; 33; 43) is mounted on the core wire (22; 32; 42), a clearance (27; 37; 47) is formed below the pressure sensitive end (25; 35; 45).
