摘要: The pressure of compressed air in one or more nozzles which convert successive increments of a running tow of filamentary filter material into a rodlike filler in a filter rod making machine is regulated in response to variations in the speed of the filler. This ensures that the resistance which the filter rod sections offer the flow of tobacco smoke does not deviate from an optimum value when the speed of the filler is reduced below the nominal speed. The pressure of air which is admitted to the nozzle or nozzles is regulated by a variable-speed blower which compresses air preparatory to admission into the nozzle or nozzles, or by installing in the conduit or conduits for one or more nozzles a pressure regulating valve which is adjusted by a servomotor in response to signals denoting the speed of the filler.

摘要: A component filter device which is added to a new or existing multi-chamber septic tank to filter the effluent of the septic tank to improve the quality of the water entering a method of dispersal. The device uses a spiral wound membrane filter to filter the effluent. The membrane filter contains open channel spacers to channel the bubbles which scour the membrane leaves. An air lift pump is used to pump permeate. A three-way actuator valve directs the airflow to either the pump or to a bubble diffuser. A two-way actuator valve directs the flow of permeate. A low water indicator directs the operation of the device. The device uses bubble scouring and back washing to clean the membrane leaves. A blower, two actuator valves and a low water indicator are the only moving parts of the device.

摘要: Event participants in attendance at a plurality of different event venues can locate, edit and print images of themselves in their respective seating locations. A venue database is provided that contains data for a plurality of venues. For each venue, the venue database includes past events that occurred at the venue for a predetermined past time period and the associated event date, a venue seating chart, event participant images captured at past events at a plurality of different seating locations, and data related to the event type for at least some of the past events. The user searches the data in the venue database to identify a past event of interest. A venue seating chart associated with the past event of interest is displayed, the user selects a seating location on the seating chart, and one or more event participant images captured at the past event of interest at the selected seating location is displayed. The user selects one or more of the images and applies a plurality of different image editing functions to the image via a user interface display screen. The edited images can be stored and/or printed.

摘要: An exchangeable prefilled syringe (4) is arranged in the front part (2) of the device. In the rear part (1), a gear mechanism (3) is arranged, the drive member of which is a driving sleeve (10) provided with a manipulating head (11), and the driven member of which is a threaded rod (12) mounted non-rotationally but longitudinally displaceably in the driving sleeve. The threaded rod (12) is seated in the female thread (22) of a gear element (20) which can be advanced, by exerting pressure on the manipulating head (11) in the axial longitudinal direction from a rest position into an end position against the force of a spring (26).In the rest position of the gear element (20), the threaded rod (12), located at a distance from the plunger (5) of the prefilled syringe (4), is threaded, by rotating the manipulating head (11), through the female thread (22) of the gear element (20) in correspondence with a plunger path required for the amount of liquid to be respectively injected, without the threaded rod (12) abutting against the plunger (5) during this step. Thereafter, the needle (7) is inserted, and the gear element (20) is advanced, by exerting pressure on the manipulating head (11), from the rest position into the end position. During the advancing stroke (h), the threaded rod (12) abuts against the plunger (5) and advances the latter in correspondence with the preselected plunger path. The device makes it possible to preselect an arbitrary amount of liquid by a corresponding rotation of the manipulating head (11) and to inject this amount of liquid, after insertion of the needle, by means of a single pressure exertion on the head (11).

摘要: A gas remover apparatus suitable for electrical substation high-voltage transformer load tap changers and similar oil-filled equipment removes potentially hazardous and destructive gases from the air-filled volume above the insulating oil bath in which the load tap changer electrical contacts are immersed. The apparatus applies a continuous supply of nitrogen to the load tap changer, and has an orifice to maintain a slight overpressure over an extreme range of climatic conditions. The substantially continuous venting of nitrogen entrains and expels contaminants such as oxygen, water, and potentially explosive breakdown products from the oil, all of which can degrade the performance of the load tap changer.

摘要: An air assisted sheet guide device in a printing machine which is operable during either positive pressure (blast) air operation as well as suction air operation to permit reliable and stable sheet guidance with reduced air flow turbulence. The sheet guide device includes at least one module that defines a guide surface having air flow openings therein and an air flow channel, and a pneumatic system for creating either a positive or suction pressure generated air flow in the flow channel. One or more plate-like air directional elements are mounted within the air flow channel which create a uniform pressure distribution on the guide surface during positive (blast) air operation and which more uniformly direct air to the pneumatic system during suction pressure operation.

摘要: Injection device (1) for injecting fluid from a fluid container (4) equipped with a piston (5), comprising an actuating device (7) having a rod-shaped driven member (9) having a structured surface, a control button (8) being movable in axial direction, and a hollow cylindrical counter component (11) having a structured internal sleeve and said counter component matching the rod-shaped driven member (9). When twisting the counter component (11) in relation to the driven member (9), the driven member (9) can be shifted freely in axial direction. This allows the free return of the driving member—without the need for additional control elements—only when the patient releases the driven member (9) by turning it, i.e. by a conscious additional operation.
