摘要： Electrolytic processes in which separate useful reactions are conducted at an anode and cathode, respectively, by electrolysis of an anolyte at an anode and a catholyte at the cathode wherein the anolyte and catholyte are of different composition and are prevented from contacting the cathode and anode, respectively, during electrolysis without the use of selective permeable membranes or permeable partitions.

摘要： Polymers and articles made therefrom having biocidal surfaces are disclosed wherein the biocidal agent is permanently bonded to the polymer surface. The polymers can be employed to inhibit microbial growth in the adjacent area of the polymer and as disinfectant for fluids such as water. Utility as a contact disinfectant is disclosed.
