The deflecting device being movable in an absorption direction by forces occurring relative to the holder with a pulling movement of the safety belt caused by an accident while overcoming an opposing absorption resistance of the absorption unit. The deflecting device being hindered from making a movement in the absorption direction with forces occurring in normal operation. The absorption unit being changeable in shape by the deflecting device moving in the absorption direction in order to overcome the absorption resistance.

    摘要: An addressing method and system for accessing a very large size physical buffer by a number of processes. The novel system is applicable within a computer system having an n-bit computer operating system (e.g., where n is 16, 32, 64, etc.). The addressing method allocates a relatively small window of virtual address space, for each software process, which is used to access the very large physical buffer using a relatively small amount of operating system memory overhead. A page frame number (PFN) table of the system address space maintains a listing of physical memory pages used to define the very large physical buffer. The PFN table is used by each process to translate between a relative page number (RPN) and an address of a physical memory page containing the record. The virtual address space ("window") of each process is used to access the physical memory buffer and contains a hash table, a virtual access control block (VACB) free list, and a VACB table. Entries of the VACB table indicate addresses of virtual memory for the process. Each process also has an associated private page table entry (PTE) table which maintains a mapping between its virtual pages and the physical pages. To map a record, its RPN is determined and used to obtain the address of the physical page(s) in which the record resides. The free list supplies an entry of the VACB table containing a virtual address for the record. The virtual address and the physical address are mapped into the PTE table.

    摘要: An apparatus for sensing current in a switching device having resistive voltage-current characteristics includes a first and second power terminal (typically common or ground) for the application therebetween of an operating potential (or alternatively, power), an impedance connected between the first power terminal and a node, a switching device having its main conduction path connected between the node and the second power terminal for controlling the flow of current through the impedance, at least one sense device coupled to the node, operative to sense or divide the potential at the node to thereby provide a sensing potential, where at least one of the sense devices is switched only during at least a portion of the period when the switching device is turned on, and a voltage reference generating circuit operative to generate a reference voltage for comparison with the sensed potential. A method for sensing current in a switching device having resistive voltage-current characteristics, samples the potential at a node connecting the switching device to the impedance only during at least a portion of the period when the switching device is turned on, to generate a sensed potential, generates a reference potential for comparison with the sensed potential.

    摘要: The invention relates to a connecting clasp for beaded chains, which include a cord and bead bodies, wherein two sleeves, a socket sleeve and a plug sleeve, have an at least geometrical longitudinal axis, and can be plugged one into the other in the direction of the longitudinal axis, wherein the sleeves respectively have a sleeve shell with a sleeve head integrally connected to it, and at least one respective bead body can be received in the sleeves, wherein the internal diameter of the sleeves is greater than the external diameter of the bead bodies, and the sleeve shell of the socket sleeve has a shell internal surface and the sleeve shell of the plug sleeve has a shell external surface, respectively with releasably interengaging profiles. A bore is passed through the sleeve head along the longitudinal axis, to receive the cord, and a slot is formed on one side through the sleeve shell to the bore, for the introduction of the cord into the bore. The sleeves can be released from each other by a predetermined opening force.

    摘要: An x-ray image intensifier for use in an x-ray diagnostic system has an electrode system for focusing electrons generated by incident x-radiation on an input luminescent screen onto an output luminescent screen. For reducing manufacturing and assembly costs, the electrodes of the electrode system are applied as a coat on the inside of a one-piece sheet metal part which forms the wall of the x-ray image intensifier between the input and output luminescent screens. The coat is adapted in shape as needed to form the electrodes, and the sheet metal wall, with the electrodes thereon, has different diameters along its longitudinal length matched to the required electrode diameters.

    摘要: A middleware machine environment can provide message queues for multinode applications. The transactional middleware machine environment includes a message control data structure on a message receiver and a heap data structure in a shared memory that is associated with the message receiver. The message sender operates to write a message directly into the heap data structure, and to maintain metadata associated with the message in the message control data structure. Furthermore, the message control data structure can be a ring structure with a head pointer and a tail pointer. Additionally, the message receiver resides on a server that is connected with a plurality of clients, with each of said clients keeping a private copy of the message control data structure. Also, the message receiver can support concurrent access to the message control data structure associated with the message receiver.

    摘要: A computer system having a kernel for mapping virtual memory address space to physical memory address space. The computer system uses a method for performing an input/output operation. A physical memory buffer is registered with a subsystem, and the physical memory buffer is associated with a first virtual address, a size and a key. The physical memory buffer is dynamically associated with a second virtual address which is different from the first virtual address. As part of an application program an input/output operation is requested regarding the second virtual address. An application table is used to obtain the first virtual address, the key and the size. The first virtual address, the key and the size are supplied to the subsystem. The subsystem uses the first virtual address, the key and the size, to determine the physical memory buffer and performs an input/output operation using the physical memory buffer without intervention of the kernel.
