    摘要: A plasma picture screen fitted with a phosphor layer comprising a red phosphor activated by Eu3+ shows an improved red color point (x≧0.64 and y≦0.35) and shorter decay times &tgr;1/10 as compared with the standard phosphor (Y,Gd)BO3. The phosphor according to the invention has a lattice in which the activator Eu3+ occupies a location which has no inversion symmetry.

A UV light emitting layer (8) is provided on the front plate (1), which comprises a glass plate (3) on which a dielectric layer (4) and a protective layer (5) are provided, or on the carrier plate (2) with the phosphor (10). The layer (8) comprises a VUV phosphor which converts the VUV light of the plasma discharge into UV light with a wavelength between 200 and 350 nm and emits this in the direction of the phosphor layer (10).

In addition, the luminescent screen comprises cerium-activated lunthanum phosphate and a luminescent substance having an emission band whose maximum is situated in the wavelength range from 340 nm and whose half-value ranges between 35 nm and 80 nm. The emission spectrum of the lamp for wavelengths below 400 nm corresponds closely to the solar spectrum while the lamp also has a high erythema L light output.

    摘要: A plasma picture screen provided with a luminescent layer which comprises a blue Eu2+-activated phosphor and a UV-C light emitting phosphor. The mixing of an UV-C light emitting phosphor with an Eu2+-activated phosphor or coating of an Eu2+-activated phosphor with a UV-C light emitting phosphor or coating of a base layer of an Eu2+-activated phosphor with a covering layer of a UV-C light emitting phosphor clearly reduces the photodegradation of the Eu2+-activated phosphors in the VUV range.
