    摘要: This invention relates to a method for generating peroxides in petroleum streams. More particularly, peroxides may be generated in-situ by combining the petroleum stream with a high neutralization number (HNN) crude and adding an oxygen-containing stream. HNN crudes contain molecules sufficient for peroxide generation. Peroxides may also be added directly to the petroleum stream without the need for addition of a HNN crude. Oil soluble metal catalysts are added to aid in peroxide formation.

    摘要: This invention relates to a method for upgrading petroleum streams which have been treated with peroxide, extracted to remove oxidized sulfur and nitrogen compounds, dewaxed and hydrofinished. More particularly, peroxides are generated in-situ by combining the petroleum stream with a high neutralization number (HNN) crude and adding an oxygen-containing stream. Alternatively, the oxidation of sulfur and nitrogen compounds may be accomplished by adding peroxides in the presence of oil soluble metal catalysts. The peroxides oxidize nitrogen and sulfur compounds in the petroleum stream to more polar compounds which are solvent extracted.

    摘要: A system and method is directed to providing an n-dimensional entity for encoding and storing data securely. A user provides a cursor position within the n-dimensional entity, and a user seed to a pseudo-random number generator. The user seed may be combined with a fingerprint of a computing system in which the invention operates. The n-dimensional entity is populated with bits from the pseudo-random number generator. Bits within the n-dimensional entity are associated with actions to be performed at each cursor position. Subsequent cursor directions within the n-dimensional entity are determined using a random number generator. Plaintext is bitwise translated to a direction and an offset from the cursor position to a bit matching the plaintext bit within the n-dimensional entity. The offset is employed to modify a row of truly random bits in an encoded array.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for drawing fluid from a subterranean formation into a downhole tool positioned in a wellbore penetrating the formation is provided. A probe body is extended from the downhole tool for engagement with the wellbore wall. The probe body has at least one inlet extending therethrough for receiving downhole fluids. At least one packer is positioned on an external end of the probe body and adapted to create a seal with the wellbore wall. The packer has an inner surface defining an aperture therethrough in fluid communication with the at least one inlet, and a peripheral surface. An internal packer support is positioned adjacent the inner surface of the packer, and an external packer support is positioned about the peripheral surface of the packer whereby at least a portion of the at least one packer is supported as it is pressed against the wellbore wall.

The deformable portion is arranged to be compressable against the rigid portion when the device is forced through a pipeline by the reaction of the material in the pipeline against the force of movement of the device.
