摘要: A gun stock constructed in accordance with the present invention broadly includes first and second stock members and a spline. The stock members each present an inner and outer face, and are constructed from wood. The spline is constructed from carbon fiber cloth impregnated with an adhesive resin. The spline is positioned between the inner faces of the stock members, strengthening the stock and permitting the stock to be constructed from relatively thin pieces of wood.

摘要: An inflation syringe having an improved display and method of displaying pressurization information. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for providing both numeric and non-numeric indications of an inflation pressurization associated with an inflation syringe. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a progressive non-numeric display is provided for displaying the pressurization of the inflation syringe along with numeric indicators of the pressurization. The progressive display includes a plurality of indicia corresponding to a range of inflation pressurization values. The indicia are actuated to indicate inflation pressurization and to allow the practitioner to not only easily monitor the general intensity of the pressurization but to monitor changes in the pressurization without needing to interpret numerical values. This permits the user to ascertain the relationship between the current pressurization, desired pressurization, and the rate of pressurization.

摘要: A self-suturing anchor device includes rotatable ring adapted to automatically deploy sutures to secure a catheter. The rotatable ring is utilized in connection with a ratchet mechanism which allows movement of the rotatable ring in a first direction while preventing movement of the rotatable ring in the opposite direction. The rotatable ring is also utilized in connection with a bearing member to facilitate smooth and efficient rotation of the rotatable ring. An extension saddle is utilized to provide a desired amount of displacement between suture securement points to minimize pivotal movement of the catheter. The rotatable ring is wider than its height to minimize kinking of the catheter tube and to relieve pressure when pressed between the patient and a support surface. In another embodiment, a plurality of scallops or other gripping members are utilized to facilitate easy gripping and rotation of the rotatable ring.

摘要: A secondary engine speed control mechanism for small internal combustion engines, including an operator control which is manually operable to override an engine running speed which is set by the engine's primary speed control mechanism and governed by the governor. The secondary speed control mechanism may be selectively actuated by the operator in anticipation of an increased engine load to provide a temporary increase or “boost” to engine speed above the set, governed engine running speed. The secondary speed control mechanism may be either mechanically or electrically actuated, and may include an operator actuated, trigger-type mechanism or an electrical switch located on the handle of an implement with which the engine is used.
