摘要: A data reader and method for data reading, such as a barcode scanner, wherein the scan pattern generating optics and other features are optimized for different modes of operation. In a preferred embodiment, different patterns are projected from different apertures in the scanner housing, one scan pattern optimized for handheld operation and the other optimized for fixed operation. Other optimizable features include the presence or absence of an aiming beam, which may be generated from the same laser source as the scan pattern or from another source, and enabling or disabling decoding of the signal received signal during a portion of a facet wheel rotation. Decoding may be disabled while the scan line(s) for handheld use is generated unless a switch or trigger is actuated.

摘要: A washing system for use in cleaning or washing a soiled substrate or substrates, the system comprising: a. a washing zone for contacting and washing the soiled substrate with wash liquor; b. a feed supply for providing hot or cold feed water to the washing zone; c. a wash liquor cleanup and recycle zone in fluid communication with the washing zone d. an effluent storage and/or discharge zone; and optionally one or more of e. a product dispensing zone; f. means for sonically or ultrasonically treating the soiled substrate in the washing zone or in a washing pre-treatment zone; g. an electrolysis zone for electrolysing the feed water or wash liquor; h. a wash liquor disinfection zone; and i. a feed water softening zone; The wash liquor cleanup and recycle zone preferably comprises an ultrafiltration or microfiltration device having a cut-off in the range from about 1000 Daltons to about 1 μm, preferably from about 0.05 μm to about 0.5 μm, a lumen size of from about 1 to about 10 mm, preferably from about 2 to about 6 mm, more preferably from about 3 to about 5 mm, and a clean water flux of at least about 1000 L/m2.h.100 kp (RO water at 25° C.), preferably at least about 10,000 L/m2.h.100 kp.

摘要: An HVLP paint sprayer having an inlet air duct equipped with a throttle to control air volume passing through the gun. The duct has a thick wall with a slot extending down from the top just past the bottom of the internal air passage. Close to its top, the slot has on opposite sides a pair of dimples directed towards each other. This is substantially the same size as the air passage and when aligned with it does not obstruct inlet duct air flow. The throttle is positioned by the dimples engaging in recesses and by a rim flange engaging on the outside of the duct. When less air is required, the throttle is pivoted about the dimples and recesses by pressing on the flange portion not abutting on the duct. Thus, the webbed portion of the throttle is brought to one side of the aperture, effectuating a throttle.

摘要: An improved mousepad (100) includes a telephone integrated therewith. A keypad (108) for the telephone is disposed beneath a mylar layer (130). The keypad (108) includes a plurality of capacitive switches (108a, 108b) disposed just beneath the mylar layer. In a mousepad mode, a mouse may be moved around the surface of the mylar in the standard fashion. In a telephone mode, the user may activate the keypad (108) by pressing the buttons which are viewable beneath the mylar.
