The present invention provides an image data processing system to increase the speed of on-screen display (OSD) image processing. The image data processing system comprises M color code registers for storing a plurality of color codes and a first multiplexer electrically connected to every output port of the M color code registers. The first multiplexer comprises a control port for inputting an N-bit image code, and the first multiplexer chooses one of the outputs of the M color code registers as its output according to the N-bit image code. The image data processing system comprises a processor for storing M color codes in the M color code registers and periodically transmitting a plurality of N-bit image codes to the control port of the first multiplexer so that the first multiplexer periodically chooses one of the color codes stored in the M color code registers as its output according to one of the N-bit image codes.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for displaying subtitles by a multination language human-machine interface that having small memory space occupation and conveniently for program maintenance. First of all, a character database is been edited, and in accordance with the character size to edit the bitmap file for each individual character. The bitmap file is then transferred to 85c51xa assembly language and stored in the character database. Then, the “string code”, the “string combination code and position shifting code”, and the “string combination code of multination language and position shifting code” of the controlling program are established, and the content of the character database is been called. During a practical usage, the desired string is been called by the controlling program, then carried out the language judgement of the exercising nation. Next, in accordance with the characters included in the desired string, extracting from the character database, drawing the string and showing on the screen eventually.

A process in displaying a video signal according to a sequence of synchronous pulses is disclosed. The process is based on the adjustment of timing of the active part of a video signal to be displayed. That is the starting point of active part of the video signal for each line-displaying is properly and immediately adjusted according to the detection if the trailing end of the previous active part of the video signal lags the synchronization pulse next to its leading end, whereby it can be achieved that the video signal is always displayed in a specified region and synchronization failure can be avoided.

An apparatus and method for automatically recognizing the characters on a license plate which is fixed on a vehicle. A sensor/controller device is utilized to detect whether the vehicle has reached a predetermined position for image sampling, and to release a trigger signal when the vehicle has reached the predetermined position. An image processing unit is coupled to the sensor/controller device to receive the trigger signal and then to send an image-sampling instruction to an image-sampling device. The image-sampling device is coupled to the image processing unit, and samples a vehicle image including the image of the license plate in response to the image-sampling instruction. The vehicle image is converted into an electric signal by the image-sampling device, which in turn is sent back to the image processing unit. The image processing unit digitizes the electric signal, and process the digitized electric signal to estimate the position of the license plate, to determine the bounding edges of the characters on the license plate, to separate each character on the license plate, and to recognize each separated character.

A method is provided for generating a diversified-shaped image frame and fixing a keystone image frame problem. The method includes steps of repeatedly determining a specific pixel frequency of one of the plurality of image signal lines and outputting the one image signal line according to the specific pixel frequency until all of the plurality of image signal lines are outputted. A shape of the image frame is diversified by assigning diversified pixel frequencies to the plurality of image signal lines respectively.

The digital image and the digital projection image have n horizontal image signals and n horizontal projection image signal respectively. The digital keystone modulation circuit includes an output controller for outputting a (3k−1)th image signal and one of a (3k−2)th and (3k)th image signal in response to an output image selected signal, an output image selector for outputting a first counting signal and the output image selected signal in response to a localization sync-signal, a first counting controller for counting in response to the counting signal, a kth horizontal projection image frequency, and a dot number of one of the (3k−2)th and (3k−1)th image signal, a second counting controller for counting in response to the output image selected signal, the kth horizontal projection signal, and a dot number of the (3k−1)th image signal, and a projection image frequency generator for outputting the kth projection image frequency in response to a horizontal sync-signal and a sum of the dot numbers of the (3k−2)th, (3k−1)th, and (3k−1)th image signals.
