摘要: An apparatus for communicating data is provided that includes a cell site element associated with a base transceiver station and comprising a compression module that is operable to receive a plurality of bits associated with a communications flow, to inspect the bits, to determine whether one or more samples included in the flow should be suppressed, and to compress the samples. The cell site element is coupled to a back-up device that is operable to assume responsibility for active flows in a case where a primary device fails. Data is exchanged between the primary device and the back-up device, the data guiding the back-up device in how to process the active flows.

摘要: A method for compressing data is provided that includes receiving a communications flow communicated by a mobile station and communicating with a proxy element in order to determine if an incoming packet is associated with an internet protocol (IP). The method also includes performing a mapping between a non-IP based protocol associated with the incoming packet and an IP protocol in cases where the incoming packet is non-IP based in order to generate an IP compatible packet to be processed by a forwarding path element and communicated to a next destination.

摘要: An aquatic device comprising a pair of pontoon-like elements each for receiving and accommodating the operator's feet and a pair of paddles specifically configured for use in the standing position and in combination with the pontoon-like elements. The pontoon-like elements each may include a variable directional control comprising a rudder interconnected to the operator's legs by a flexible coupling and a stabilizer comprising an adjustable keel element extending downward from the lower portion of each of the pontoon-like elements. The pair of pontoon-like elements are interconnected to provide additional stabilization and coordination therebetween. Each of the paddles comprises an elongated shaft extending downwardly and terminating in a blade and an upper arm engaging rest formed at right angles thereto to permit coordinated paddling of the aquatic device. The paddles may also be used for directional control.

摘要: A stand-up aquatic device is provided that includes at least one float member formed of a buoyant material. The float member has an upper surface and a lower surface for contacting the water. Additionally, the float member has at least one cut-through such that an end portion of the float member can be lifted to alter the shape of the lower surface of the float member so as to provide a different footprint in the water. Additionally, there is provided a float member formed of a buoyant material for use in a stand-up aquatic device. The float member includes an upper portion having an upper surface with a first shape, and a lower portion having a lower surface with a second shape, which has less surface area than the first shape. Further, a stand-up aquatic device is provided that includes at least one float member formed of a buoyant material and two pieces of flotation material. The float member has a flat upper surface and a lower surface for contacting the water, and the two pieces of flotation material attach to the ends of the upper surface of the float member to provide additional buoyancy.

摘要: An inflatable aquatic device is disclosed comprising in combination plural aquatic members each having a plurality of flexible gas chambers for containing a gas and providing buoyancy. Each of the plural aquatic members includes a rigid frame having a plate region and a plurality of supports extending relative to the plate region. A system is provided for securing the rigid frame to the flexible gas chambers establishing plural substantially rigid aquatic members. Connectors interconnect the plural aquatic members to allow only limited relative movement therebetween. The invention may include a fabric material adapted to encompass the flexible gas chamber means having a plurality of fabric apertures for receiving the plurality of supports extending from the plate regions. The supports may include plural telescoping tubing members extending from the plate region to enable the pneumatic device to be stored in a relatively small area. The aquatic device may be fashioned as a pair of pontoon-like elements with the plate region adapted to receive the operator's feet. The invention may include a pair of paddles specifically configured for use by the operator in the standing position for directional control and locomotion.

摘要: A first router receives an original IS-634 standard frame formatted message over an A-bis interface from a base transceiver station. The first router identifies header information bits in the message for compression. The first router suppresses selected ones of the identified header information bits and encapsulates the message into a packet. A second router receives the packet from the first router and extracts the message from the packet. The second router reconstructs the selected ones of the header information bits that were suppressed by the first router. The second router regenerates the original IS-634 standard frame formatted message and transports the message to a base station controller over the A-bis interface.
