    摘要: A gas flow measuring apparatus includes first and second temperature dependent resistors located in a gas tube respectively downstream and upstream of an electric heater which is also located in the gas tube. The first and second temperature dependent resistors are connected to form a bridge circuit together with first and second reference resistors. Between a pair of diagonal junctions of the bridge circuit, a potential difference is produced depending on the flow rate of the gas and the power supplied to the electric heater, and a measuring circuit controls the power supplied to the electric heater so that the potential difference is maintained at a predetermined value irrespective of a change in flow rate of the gas. The measuring circuit includes a chopper circuit to convert the potential difference into a square wave having a peak-to-peak value substantially equal to the potential difference and having a center reference level of the square wave corresponding to a voltage level determined by a reference voltage generator and an adder circuit. The square wave from the chopper circuit is then amplified and half rectified and applied to a sample-hold circuit to produce a voltage signal representative of the potential difference. A differential amplifier having two inputs of the voltage signal from the sample-hold circuit and a predetermined voltage produces an output signal which is used to control the power supplied to the electric heater. A current flowing into the electric heater is used to determine the flow rate of the gas.

    摘要: In a fluid flow rate measuring apparatus having a sensor including an electric heater resistance wire and first and second temperature dependent resistance wires and a measuring circuit, each of the resistance wires is wound to be held firmly in place on a supporting member made of an electrical insulating material, and the electric heater resistance wire and the first temperature dependent resistance wire, which is responsive to the temperature of the fluid under measurement heated by the electric heater resistance wire, are wound on the same supporting member alternately and close to each other so that the winding direction thereof makes an angle from 60.degree. to 120.degree. to the direction of the flow of the fluid under measurement. Further, each of the supporting members is constructed and arranged so as to minimize the influence of the heat capacity thereof and also to avoid the occurrence of turbulence in the flow of the fluid which is detrimental to the flow rate measurement. This construction can provide a fluid flow rate measuring apparatus having high precision, improved response and elevated reliability.

    摘要: An intake air amount detecting system includes a branch pipe disposed in the intake manifold of the engine and having two passages each provided therein with a temperature responsive resistor. One of the two passages is provided with an electric heater and a voltage is applied to the electric heater so that the temperature difference in the two passages measured by the two temperature responsive resistors is maintained at a predetermined value irrespective of the amount of air flow through the intake manifold. An A-D converter is further provided and includes a time constant circuit and a capacitor for producing across the capacitor a reference voltage which has a waveform representing a predetermined relationship between the voltage applied to the electric heater and the amount of intake air flow. The voltage actually applied to the heater is compared with the reference voltage at a voltage comparater in the A-D converter and the A-D converter produces a pulse signal having a time width corresponding to a period from the rise of the reference voltage until the reference voltage reaches the actual voltage, and hence corresponding to the amount of intake air flow.

    摘要: A thermally-sensitive resistor is positioned in each of two separate passages provided in the intake pipe of an internal combustion engine, and an electric heater is positioned upstream of one of the thermally-sensitive resistors with respect to the direction of flow of intake air. The thermally-sensitive resistors form, along with two reference resistors, a bridge circuit which converts the difference between the resistances of the thermally-sensitive resistors caused by the electric heater, i.e., the difference between the temperatures in the passages to a voltage difference. A control circuit controls the voltage across the electric heater in such a manner that the said voltage difference is maintained constant and thus the amount by weight of intake air can be directly obtained. The input voltages to the thermally-sensitive resistors are applied in the form of pulses through an oscillator circuit thereby reducing the problem of drift of the bridge circuit.

The difference between the other voltage of the diametrical point of the bridge and the output of the constant voltage adding circuit is amplified, and the output voltage of the amplifier circuit is further amplified so that the voltage applied to the electric heater and the bridge is feed-back controlled.

    摘要: A first temperature dependent resistor and a second temperature dependent resistor are disposed within a single gas passage defined by a branch pipe extending into a conduit for a gas whose flow rate is to be measured. An electric heater is located between these temperature dependent resistors and is heated for the purpose of measurement of the flow rate of the gas. A first reference resistor and a second reference resistor constitute a bridge circuit together with the first and second temperature dependent resistors, and the difference between the potentials at the terminals of the bridge circuit is amplified by a first differential amplifier circuit. The difference between the output voltage of the first differential amplifier circuit and a predetermined reference voltage is then amplified by a second differential amplifier circuit. The output of the second differential amplifier circuit is amplified by a power amplifier, and the output of the power amplifier is used to control the current or voltage supplied to the electric heater.

An output signal of a voltage divider circuit including the series-connected temperature-dependent resistance wires is used to measure the gas flow rate.
