摘要: An optical waveguide component includes an optical waveguide chip formed with an optical waveguide, first and second connecting end members mounted on opposite end portions of the waveguide chip, housings for protecting the waveguide chip, and first and second receptacles mounted to end faces of the housings. When optical connector plugs are inserted into connector-plug accommodation holes of the first and second receptacles, the connector plugs are adequately positioned in the connector-plug accommodation holes by means of a guiding function of these holes, so that guide pins projecting from tip end faces of the connecting end members are fitted into guide-pin accommodation holes formed in the connector plugs, whereby optical fibers held by the connector plugs and the waveguide of the waveguide component are connected accurately and easily.

摘要: An optical waveguide module is provided, which comprises an optical waveguide component having an auxiliary connection member connected to an end of an optical waveguide chip and at least one array member for attaching an end of at least one optical fiber to a connection member to be connected to the auxiliary connection member. The optical waveguide component and the array member are connected to each other via the auxiliary connection member and the connection member. A presser member is disposed to press at least one of the optical waveguide chip and the optical fiber in the direction of the connection. An optical waveguide exposed from the end of the optical waveguide chip is in direct contact with the core of the optical fiber exposed from an end of the array member.

摘要: A plurality of pumping light sources (1) which generate pumping light having wavelengths different from each other are connected to respective input ports of an optical multiplexer via optical reflectors (3). The respective pumping light is stabilized by optical reflectors with respect to the oscillating wavelengths, and is multiplexed by an optical multiplexer (4). The multiplexed pumping light is multiplexed to signal light passing through an optical fiber (6) for amplification. In the respective optical reflectors (3) and optical multiplexer (4), the optical lines are formed of materials whose differential coefficients of changes in the center wavelengths with respect to changes in temperature in the usage wavelength band are almost the same, and the set wavelengths of the respective input ports of the optical multiplexer (4) are made almost coincident with the center wavelengths of the input side optical reflectors (3), wherein the respective optical reflectors (3) and optical multiplexer (4) are disposed in almost the same environmental temperature atmosphere. Therefore, it is possible to always make coincident the center wavelength of the optical reflectors and that of the input ports of an optical ports of an optical multiplexer corresponding thereto regardless of changes in temperature without compensating for the temperature.
