    摘要: A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material for making a color proof and a method for making the color proof using the light-sensitive material. Halftone color proofs having a similar color tone of small dots and large dots can be obtained by the light-sensitive material and the method using it. The silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprises a yellow image forming light-sensitive layers, a magenta image foming light-sensitive layer and a cyan image forming light-sensitive layer which are different from each other in spectral sensitivity, and the magenta image forming layer contains a magenta coupler and an yellow coupler. The color proof is prepared by a method comprising steps of sequentially exposing the above-mentioned silver halide color photographic material to each of light having different spectral distribution through each of a plurality of black-and-white halftone images prepared by color separation of a color original, respectively, and developing the silver halide color photographic material with a color developer.

    摘要: A method for making a color proof in a photo-mechanical process. The method comprises a step for exposing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material to light through a black-and-white halftone dot image, and a step for developing said silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material with a color developer. The photographic material is comprised of at least three silver halide emulsion layers which are different from each other in spectral sensitivity thereof, and at least one of these silver halide emulsion layers contains a specific yellow coupler and the color developer contains a specific color developing agent. A halftone color image having a color tone similar to that of image printed with printing inks can be obtained by the simplified process.

    摘要: A direct positive type silver halide color photographic material and an image forming method are disclosed. A green sensitive emulsion layer of the photographic material comprises silver halide grains having at least two peaks on the size distribution curve thereof and the grain size corresponding to the smallest grain size peak among the peaks is not more than 0.3 .mu.m and a magenta coupler represented by the following Formula (M-I); ##STR1## wherein Z is a group of non-metal atoms necessary to complete a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; X is a hydrogen atom or a split-off group and R is a substituent. The photographic material is developed with a color development in the presence of a fogging agent to directly form the positive image after imagewise exposure to light. Thus obtained image is improved in a increased maximum density, lowered minimum density and wider exposure latitude. Stability of gradation with respect to variation of development conditions is also improved.
