摘要: Embodiments of present invention provide a linear-drive pluggable optics (LPO) transceiver. The LPO transceiver includes a receiver path, which includes a receiver optical subassembly (ROSA) converting an input optical signal into an ingress electrical signal; and a linear transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with adjustable frequency transfer function (AFTF), the ingress electrical signal passing through the linear TIA to a host. The LPO transceiver also includes a transmitter path, which includes a linear driver with AFTF receiving an egress electrical signal from the host; and a transmitter optical subassembly (TOSA) converting the egress electrical signal from the linear driver to an output optical signal. A method of operating the LPO transceiver is also included.

摘要: Embodiments of present invention provide various device assemblies for digital communication. The device assemblies may include a main printed-circuit-board (PCB); and an OSA-on-daughter-board (OODB) directly connected to the main PCB. The OODB has an optical sub-assembly (OSA) wire-bonded onto a daughter PCB. In one embodiment, the daughter PCB includes a flexible printed-circuit (FPC) sheet connecting the OODB directly to the main PCB. In another embodiment, the main PCB includes a FPC sheet connecting the main PCB directly to the OODB. In one embodiment, the connection may be made through an anisotropic conductive film or an anisotropic conductive adhesive.

The digital dispersion compensation module includes a multi-port optical circulator and a plurality of dispersion compensation units connected to the multi-port optical circulator, wherein at least one of the plurality of dispersion compensation units includes a first and a second reflectively terminated element and an optical switch being capable of selectively connecting to one of the first and second reflectively terminated elements, and wherein the at least one of the plurality of dispersion compensation units is adapted to provide a substantially zero dispersion to an optical signal, coming from the multi-port optical circulator, when the optical switch connects to the first reflectively terminated element and is adapted to provide a non-zero dispersion to the optical signal when the optical switch connects to the second reflectively terminated element.

摘要: Embodiments of present invention provide various device assemblies for digital communication. 摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a wireless traffic sensor system. The system includes a plurality of wireless traffic sensors collecting traffic information from one or more vehicles that pass by; and at least one wireless communication device that receives the traffic information from at least one of the wireless traffic sensors and relays the traffic information to a wireless communication tower in vicinity. At least one of the wireless traffic sensors is placed inside a container and has a mounting flange that lays over edge of the container and is affixed to the container by one or more spring clips. The spring clips are not physically accessible once the wireless traffic sensor is affixed to the container, and are released only upon receiving a coded wireless electromagnetic signal or by a special tool that matches to a key inside the wireless traffic sensor.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for implementing carrier suppressed data format on conventional OTDM modules is provided. Adaptive phase shifting of optical signals traversing one of the tributaries of an OTDM module is performed with feedback loop control. A tapped portion of the input carrier signal is phase modulated at a frequency fc, and is combined with a tapped portion of the output from the OTDM. A phase shifter controller fed with this combined signal photodetects and band-pass filters the signal around fc to extract the amplitude of the AC component of the envelope of the combined signal, which depends upon the phase difference between successive pulses of the OTDM output. This signal is used to control a phase shifter coupled along one of the tributaries of the OTDM to adjust the phase difference of the signals of the two tributaries so that carrier suppression results.
