Abstract:
The present invention teaches a female part that can locked in selected positions on a round rod. The female part includes a hollow passageway into which a locking screw can be screwed in a generally radial direction into engagement with the rod. When seen in a cross section, the passageway includes two flat surfaces which slope towards one another symmetrically in relation to a diametrical plane. The angle defined by the surfaces with the plane lies between 2.5' and 15.0'. The locking screw enters the passageway in the wider part between the surfaces.
Abstract:
A device or tool setter has the purpose of setting the position of a support bar, adjustably connected to a grinding machine, in relation to a rotatable grindstone of the machine for obtaining a desired edge angle of a tool supported for grinding by the support bar. The device is provided with discs for defining two contact points with the grindstone and a hole for connection to the support bar.
Abstract:
A grinding jig for use in the grinding of a straight edge woodworking tool on the peripheral surface of a rotating grindstone in a grinding machine. The grinding machine has a cylindrical support bar parallel with the rotation axis of the grindstone. The jig includes a base, which is parallel with the support bar and is intended for slidable and rotational mounting on the support bar, and a clamp, wherein the tool is attached between the base and the clamp. The grinding jig has a support surface on the base for supporting the face of the tool opposite its bevel.
Abstract:
A truing tool for a grindstone (1) is intended for attachment to a universal support (3) in the form of a cylindrical rod of a grinding machine in parallel with the rotation axis of the grindstone. It has—in a holder (12) therefore—a cutting tip (13) for truing engagement with the grindstone. The holder (12) is movably connected to a yoke (10)—to be attached to the universal support (3)—by a feeding rod (14), which is rotatably supported by the yoke (10) and is in engagement with a threaded bore in the holder (12), for its movement in relation to the yoke transversely of the grindstone (1).
Abstract:
Jig for grinding sharp-edged tools. The jig consists of a housing in the form of a casing designed with a passage running through it whose at least one end is flat, plus a seat, also in the form of a casing designed with a passage running through it, located in the passage of the housing and lockable in this housing in an inclined position in relation to the passage in the housing, whereby the seat is provided with a clamping device (4) for firmly holding a tool that is to be ground so that it extends through the passage of the seat, and that the seat has such a length that one end of it extends out beyond the housing at the flat end of the housing.

Abstract:
A device for sharpening a twist drill pointby means of a rotating grindstone (12) in a grinding machine comprises a base plate (14) lockably articulated around an axis parallel with the axis of the grindstone (12), a drill holder (16) for releasably holding a twist drill (1) to be sharpened, and a guide member (15). The guide member has a back plate (21) and a front plate (22), lockably rotatable in relation to each other. The back plate (21) is connected to the base plate (14) for movements in the direction of the grindstone axis, and the front plate (22) has guide means (28, 29) for slidably guiding the drill holder (16) in the general direction towards and away from the grindstone (12).
