摘要： A fixing device to fix a toner image on a recording medium in a nip portion formed by a heated fixing member and a pressure member, the fixing device including: an air ejection section to eject and blow air against the recording medium to separate the recording medium from the fixing member, a first guide member provided on a fixing face side of the recording medium discharged from the nip portion to guide the recording medium, a second guide member provided on a non-fixing face side of the recording medium discharged from the nip portion to guide the recording medium, also having a predetermined clearance with respect to the pressure member, and an air suction section provided on a opposite side position with respect to the first guide member in the second guide member to suction air of the clearance and attract the recording medium to the second guide member.

摘要： A fixing device for fixing a toner image onto a recording sheet by applying a pressure and a heat during conveying the recording sheet at a nip portion, includes: a fixing member including a heating section; a pressure-applying member forming the nip portion with the fixing member; an air blow duct provided with an air discharge opening which opens toward a vicinity of a recording sheet outlet of the nip portion; and an air blowing section which blows air toward the vicinity, wherein fixing device further includes an air drain path provided with an air suction opening at the vicinity of the outlet of the recording sheet and suctioning the air blown toward the vicinity of the outlet of the recording sheet thereby draining the air. The air drain path is separated from a sheet conveyance path by a separation wall member and formed above the sheet conveyance path.

摘要： An image forming apparatus forms a color image by superimposing images formed in a plurality of colors. To prevent color deviations from occurring in the image forming apparatus, a predetermined registration pattern is formed in each of the plurality of colors, and an image forming position is adjusted for each color in accordance with a detection result given by a detecting unit on detecting the predetermined registration pattern. A value of a parameter having an effect on an output of the detecting unit is set for each color so that the value set for at least one of the colors is different to the values respectively set for other colors. The value of the predetermined parameter may be set as a fixed value for each color. Alternatively, the value of the predetermined parameter may be a variable that is automatically set.

摘要： A sliding sheet for fixing devices in the present invention is inserted in between an endless belt constituting one member out of two members which form a nip section for fixing operation and a pressure member for pressing the endless belt from an inner surface side toward the other member out of the two members. The sliding sheet, which is made of a single resin, repeatedly has a thick section and a thin section at least with respect to a sliding direction of the endless belt due to substantial difference in resin amount per unit area corresponding to positions within a sheet surface.
