    摘要: There is provided a metal structure that holds the display unit, as the main structure, and a casing structure that is integrally molded from resin onto the metal structure. The metal structure is resilient against flexural loads, torsional loads, and other deformations from the exterior upon the display unit composed of thin plate glass, because the member that protects the display unit is in a box shape. The display unit itself can be protected from damage even if rigidity is reduced because of a thinner profile. The metal structure is manufactured by thin plate pressing and sufficient strength can be maintained even if the thickness is low. Furthermore, the metal structure is configured as a frame part of the entire casing, the rigidity of the entire device can therefore be maintained by using this structure, and the mounting board and functional components other than the display unit can also be protected.

    摘要: A box-shaped metal structure is formed by press-working or the like, and a resin shell is integrally molded to the periphery of the metal structure by extrusion molding a resin. A flexible circuit board for key switches is disposed on a switch-receiving surface of the metal structure. The resin shell and the box-shaped metal structure are not bonded together, but the resin fills the connecting holes in the metal structure, whereby the shell and the metal structure are kept together after molding. A casing for a portable device having a structure suitable for obtaining reduced thickness and size reduction is thereby obtained.

    摘要: A portable apparatus, having a slide mechanism by which an upper casing can be made to slide with respect to a lower casing, comprises: an assist mechanism, disposed between the upper casing and the lower casing, and assisting sliding of the upper casing. The assist mechanism comprises: a first support member attached pivotably to the upper casing or to a member fixed to the upper casing; a second support member attached pivotably to the lower casing or to a member fixed to the lower casing; at least one first elastic spring biasing the first support member; at least one second elastic spring biasing the second support member; and a holding case that holds the first and second elastic springs in a serially arrayed state with a direction of extension and contraction of the first elastic spring forming a prescribed angle to that of the second elastic spring, the first support member being slidably inserted in the direction of the first elastic spring, and the second support member being slidably inserted in the direction of the second elastic spring.

    摘要: A card connector where a connector main body is fixed inside an electronic device and a tray is disposed so as to slide relative to the connector main body in a longitudinal direction. The tray is movable between an advanced position at which the entirety of the tray has advanced into the connector main body and a pulled-out position at which a part of the tray has been pulled out from the connector main body. A tilt pawl is disposed on the tray, and a slide groove for guiding the tilt pawl in the longitudinal direction and a tilt groove for guiding the tilt pawl upward at the pulled-out position are formed in the connector main body. When in the pulled-out position, the tray is inclined so that a gap between a card mounting surface of the tray and an upper plate portion of the connector main body is increased. According to the resulting card connector, the electronic device is not required to have a large opening, an excessive load is not applied to the card when the card is inserted or withdrawn, a reduction is size can be achieved, and the profile can be made thinner.
