摘要： To reduce damaging of an inner tube in the vicinity of a gas ejection port of an inflator. To the peripheral portion near an end on a gas ejection port side of an inflator, one end of a pipe is fixed. The pipe extends in the axial direction of an inner tube having such flexibility as a cloth, is smaller in the diameter, shorter and higher in rigidity than the inner tube. In the pipe, its leading end is thinner than a part that is an outer portion of the gas ejection port of the inflator. Further, at the peripheral portion of the end of the pipe, a rear-leading end of the inner tube is clamped by a clamp.

摘要： The head-protecting airbag device (M1) includes an airbag (12) provided with a gas admissive portion (13) and a non-admissive portion (23). The gas admissive portion (13) includes a gas feed passage (14) for feeding inflation gas G toward both front and rearwards of the vehicle, and a plurality of vertical chambers (17) juxtaposed along front-rear direction of the vehicle. Each of the vertical chambers (17) includes a communication port at its upper end for communicating with the gas feed passage (14). The substantial lengths of a vehicle's outer wall (13b) and an inner wall (13a) of the airbag (12) are differentiated from each other by a belt (31) in the periphery (19) of the communication port (18). Thus the periphery (19) of the communication port (18) guides inflation gas (G) obliquely down and toward the vehicle's exterior (O) when inflation gas (G) flows into the vertical chamber (17) via the communication port. The head-protecting airbag device (M1) is made compact and improves workability in the mounting work on the vehicle while ensuring downward deployment of the airbag (12) along the window (W).

摘要： In a head protection air bag device, a folded air bag receives inflation gas, and when its inflating operation is completed, inflation parts of front and rear inflatable protective shielding parts as partitioned by partitioning parts generate tensions in the longitudinal direction in the front and rear inflatable protective shielding parts per se. The front and rear inflatable protective shielding parts are interconnected to each other by inflation communicating part under a plate-like portion which blocks the inflow of the inflation gas, at the lower fringe side of the air bag. The inflation communication parts are longitudinally disposed along the lower fringe side of the air bag. Therefore, the front and rear inflatable protective shielding parts are interconnected without reducing the tensions in those parts. As a result, a high tension having the longitudinal direction is generated in the entire lower fringe of the air bag.

摘要： An occupant protection device is applied to a vehicle including a front seat and a rear seat, and includes a first protection device and a second protection device. The first protection device includes a first gas generator and a first side airbag, which is inflated and deployed between an occupant seated in the front seat and a side portion of the vehicle by gas generated by the first gas generator. The second protection device includes a second gas generator and a second side airbag, which is inflated and deployed between an occupant seated in the rear seat and a side portion of the vehicle by gas generated by the second gas generator. The thickness of the inflated second side airbag in the vehicle width direction is set greater than the thickness of the inflated first side airbag in the vehicle width direction.
