Abstract: The application concerns the use of a lubricant composition of grade 0W-8 according to the SAEJ300 classification, comprising at least one base oil, from 1 to 1000 ppm of at least one friction modifying additive and from 0.1 to 10% by weight of at least one polymer improving the viscosity index, said lubricant composition having kinematic viscosity measured at 40° C. according to standard ASTM D445 lower than or equal to 20 mm2/s, kinematic viscosity measured at 100° C. according to standard ASTM D445 lower than 5 mm2/s, and Noack volatility measured at 250° C. according to standard CEC-L-40-A-93 of between 10 and 85%, preferably between 25 and 85%, more preferably between 60 and 85%, for the lubrication of a rechargeable hybrid vehicle engine or a hybrid vehicle engine comprising a range extender.

Abstract: The present application relates to the use of a comb polymer comprising repeating units that can be obtained by polymerisation of monomers (a) of formula (I): in which: R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, X1 is a group chosen from: —O—, —O(AO)m, or —NH—, each group A being independently a C2-C4 alkylene group and m being an integer ranging from 0 to 10, R2 is polybutylene group, and p is equal to 0 or 1, for improving the cold thickening properties of a lubricating composition having a grade (X)W—(Y) according to the standard SAEJ 300 in which x=0, 5 or 10 and y=8, 16, 20, 30 or 40, comprising at least one base oil, the lubricating composition thus obtained having a Gelation Index according to the standard ASTM D5133 of less than 6.
