Abstract:
Methods for merging files and related systems. A first file comprising a plurality of columns is provided. Each column comprises at least one data field for a row corresponding to a string identification. It is determined whether the string identification corresponding to the row is in a second file. If the string identification is in the second file, data for the row corresponding to the string identification in a first column of the second file is written to the row in the first column of the first file. If the string identification is not in the second file, data for the row in a second column of the first file is copied to the row in the first column of the first file.
Abstract:
A multi-language system containing a language information module and a related method capable of updating language information are provided. The multi-language system includes an interface module utilized for generating a user interface; a language information module containing at least one identification string and at least one language information set, each identification string corresponding to a language information set, and each language information set representing a natural language; and a font database containing at least one font set, each font set corresponding to a language information set and containing at least one font file for representing the natural language corresponding to the language information set; wherein according to the language information set stored in the language information module, the interface module is utilized for reading the font set corresponding to the natural language which corresponds to the language information set to select and display the font file(s) on the user interface.

Abstract:
A multi-language system for quickly selecting a font file corresponding to a character includes a font database and a code allocation table. The font database contains at least one character code range and at least one font-storage unit. Each font-storage unit is for storing at least one font file corresponding to a natural language, and each font file corresponds to a character code. A method for quickly selecting the font file includes finding a character code range containing the character code from the code allocation table according to the character code to obtain a font-storage unit corresponding to the character code; obtaining a font file address of a font file corresponding to the character code from the font-storage unit according to the character code; and selecting the font file corresponding to the character code from the font-storage unit according to the address of the font file address.
Abstract:
User-defined interface editing methods for mobile electronic devices. Display-related information of an interface is edited as modified information in an interface editor. The modified information is transmitted from the interface editor to the mobile electronic device. The interface is displayed on the mobile electronic device according to the modified information after parsing.
Abstract:
A power management method applied in a portable electronic device is provided. When the portable electronic device enters a standby state, the method starts a frame refresh timer, wherein a timing period of the frame refresh timer is a frame refresh timing period; and starts a suspension timer, wherein a timing period of the suspension timer is a suspension timing period. When the portable electronic device is in the standby state, and when a frame refresh timing period of the frame refresh timer is completed, the portable electronic device displays one of the frames and sets the frame refresh timer to begin another frame refresh timing period for consecutively displaying the frames. When a suspension timing period of the suspension timer is completed, the portable electronic device suspends the frame refresh timer and enters a power saving state.
Abstract:
A method and a system for updating software containing a first program and a first data group. The first program has a corresponding first program version number and the first data group has a corresponding first data group version number. The method includes providing a second program which has a corresponding second program version number; updating the first program using the second program when the value of the first program version number is different from the value of the second program version number; and deciding whether to update the first data group or not according to the updated first program version number of the updated first program.
