Scanners are provided. A scanner includes a scan module, a separator, and a housing having a transparent plate. The scanning module is movably received in the housing to scan a first object or a second object through the transparent plate. The separator includes a rotary member and a main body connected to the scan module. The rotary member connects the main body and movably contacts the transparent plate. When the rotary member is at a first angle, the first object is located in a depth of field (DOF) of the scan module. When the rotary member rotates from the first angle to a second angle, the scan module moves toward the transparent plate, such that the second object is retained in the depth of field.
Abstract:
An optical scanning apparatus. The optical scanning apparatus includes a cover module, an optical module and a spacing element. The optical module is connected to the cover module. The spacing element is connected to the cover module and abuts the optical module. The cover module is separated from the optical module at a predetermined distance by the spacing element, and the optical module slides on the spacing element.

A business machine. A cover has a guide rail, as does a main body. A first link is pivotably connected to the cover and movably disposed in the body guide rail. A second link is pivotably connected to the main body and movably disposed in the cover guide rail. When the cover moves substantially perpendicular to the main body, the first link slides in the body guide rail and the second link slides in the cover guide rail.

A feeding mechanism. The feeding mechanism comprises a roller and a blocking plate. The blocking plate rotates between a first position and a second position, abutting a sheet when in the first position, and the sheet sliding thereon by gravity when in the second position. Particularly, the blocking plate and the sheet form an included angle larger in the first position than in the second position.
Abstract:
An adjusting device provided on a transmission belt to adjust the tension of the transmission belt. The adjusting device includes a housing and a fastener fixed on the housing, the fastener engaging the transmission belt so that there is no relative displacement between the fastener and the transmission belt. A sliding mechanism is disposed on the housing and is capable of sliding in a linear direction on the housing, the sliding mechanism engaging the transmission belt so that there is no relative displacement between the sliding mechanism and the transmission belt. An elastic device is fixed to the housing at a first end and fixed to the sliding mechanism at a second end for maintaining proper tension in the transmission belt.

A paper feeding system has a housing, a paper tray, a paper path positioned before a front end of the paper tray, a paper engaging mechanism installed above the paper tray, a paper separating mechanism, and a driving device. The paper engaging mechanism comprises an engaging arm and an engaging roller. The engaging arm comprises a first fixing shaft rotatably installed on the housing, and a second end installed with the engaging roller. When the engaging arm swings down to the paper tray, the engaging roller pushes at least a sheet of paper from the paper tray to the paper path. The paper separating mechanism comprises a separating roller and a friction pad installed respectively above and below the paper path. When two sheets of paper pass between a gap between the friction pad and the separating roller, the separating roller will move only the top sheet forward. The driving device is used to drive the engaging arm, the engaging roller, and the separating roller. When the driving device begins to run, the engaging arm will rotate down to the paper tray, and the engaging roller will rotate and move the sheet of paper from the paper tray into the paper path. Then the separating roller of the paper separating mechanism will successively move individual sheets along the paper path.

Abstract:
An automatic document feeder (ADF) with a feeding roller used to carry a paper sheet to a reading position is provided. The ADF comprises a feeding path, a paper cartridge, an exit roller set, and a first lever. The feeding path is arranged in the ADF for guiding the paper sheet reaching the reading position and leaving the reading position. The paper cartridge has a fixed front edge aligned with an inlet of the feeding path. The exit roller set is located by the feeding path and at a downstream position with respect to the reading position. The exit roller set includes two exit rollers leaning against each other for carrying the paper sheet leaving the ADF. The first lever is connected between the paper cartridge and one of the exit rollers. As the paper sheet is jammed at the exit roller set, the paper cartridge may be raised to drive the first lever to separate the two exit rollers for removing the jammed paper sheet.
