Abstract:
A paper feeding device according to an embodiment includes a paper feeding cassette that holds a plurality of sheets and has a stacking surface with an angle A relative to horizontal that changes depending on a quantity of sheets stacked thereon. A pickup roller feeds the plurality of sheets from the paper feeding cassette. A separation roller separates the plurality of sheets from each other in a case where the plurality of sheets are fed from the paper feeding cassette in an overlapped state. A guide unit has a guide surface which is inclined upwards on a downstream side thereof in the transport direction of the plurality of sheets. A drive unit changed an angle B of the guide surface relative to horizontal. A control device controls the drive unit to change the angle B based on the angle A.
Abstract:
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a sheet transport device is described. The sheet transport device includes a pickup roller to insert a sheet into a sheet path. A pair of separation rollers of the sheet transportation device form a nip that advances the sheet along the sheet path. A first separation shaft on which a first separation roller is disposed rotates in a first direction as the sheet is advanced and a second separation shaft on which a second separation roller is disposed also rotates in the first direction as the sheet is advanced. The second separation roller is driven in a second direction via a torque limiter. A motor rotates the shafts. A one-way clutch is disposed on the second separation shaft to disengage the second separation shaft from the motor when the motor is operating in a reverse mode.
Abstract:
In the separation roller, an entire area of a circumferential surface of the separation roller facing the sending roller is exposed to come in direct contact with the banknote, moving from the storage unit, on the storage unit side with respect to a contact portion which is in contact with the sending roller, both end portions in an axial direction of the separation roller are formed of a material having a friction coefficient smaller than that of a central portion thereof, and the diameter of the both end portions is the same as the diameter of the central portion.
Abstract:
A document conveying apparatus includes a first conveying roller for conveying a document stacked on the document tray, a second conveying roller, provided at a downstream side with respect to the first conveying roller, for conveying a document stacked on the document tray, a separation roller, provided at a downstream side with respect to the second conveying roller, for performing separation operation of the document, a driving force transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force to a driving shaft of the first conveying roller, a driving shaft of the second conveying roller, and a driving shaft of the separation roller, and a first blocking mechanism, provided between the first conveying roller and the driving shaft of the first conveying roller, for blocking a driving force transmitted to the driving shaft of the first conveying roller, for a first certain period of time.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an accommodation unit, feeding, conveying, and separating members, and detecting, control, image forming, and regulating units. The conveying member conveys a fed recording material. The separating member forms a nip and separates recording materials. The detecting unit detects that the recording material has been fed to the nip. The feeding member starts feeding an accommodated recording material and, where a recording material is fed to the nip, causes the feeding to be finished. An image is formed on a fed recording material. The regulating unit regulates an end on an upstream side. The control unit measures a period from a recording material feeding to detection that a recording material is fed to the nip. Based on the measured period, information is output indicating that a position of the regulating unit is deviated from a position according to a size of the accommodated recording materials.
Abstract:
A sheet feeding device includes a document mounting board, in which a downstream end of the document mounting board in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism is connected to a scanner body so as to be rotatable about a first turning shaft parallel to a rotation shaft of a pickup roller, the first turning shaft is located downstream from the feed mechanism in the feeding direction of the documents in the feed mechanism, a mounting surface of the document mounting board on which the documents are mounted is located above the pickup roller when the documents are mounted on the document mounting board, and the document mounting board turns about the first turning shaft such that the mounting surface moves downward and the mounting surface moves downward from a contact portion of the pickup roller with the document when the documents mounted on the document mounting board are fed.
Abstract:
A paper feed roller including an elastic layer composed of thermosetting polyurethane containing a plasticizer, wherein an amount of the plasticizer is within a range of 10 to 50 pts. mass based on 100 pts. mass of the thermosetting polyurethane, and a surface residual charge on the elastic layer is within a range of 90 to 170 V. The surface residual charge is a value determined by single-point measurement of a surface potential of the elastic layer. The measurement includes rotating the paper feed roller in a circumferential direction, electrifying the surface of the elastic layer with a corotron while rotating the paper feed roller, and measuring the surface potential at a center point on the paper feed roller in a roller axis direction in a position where the paper feed roller is rotated by 90 degrees from a position where the surface of the elastic layer is electrified.
Abstract:
A sheet feed device includes a feed unit and a sheet loading cassette. The feed unit includes a separation conveyance portion that is composed of a feed member and a separation member, a separation holder that supports the separation member and is swingable, and a pressing member that presses the separation holder. The sheet loading cassette includes a grip portion, a pressure release member that, in conjunction with an operation of drawing out the sheet loading cassette, comes into contact with the pressing member, an operation lever that is provided at the grip portion. In a state where the sheet loading cassette is inserted in the apparatus main body, the operation lever is gripped together with the grip portion, and thus the pressure release member slides to come into contact with the pressing member, so that the pressing member is released from the separation holder.
Abstract:
An automated banking machine includes a mechanism for accepting deposited items. Deposited items can be provided to the machine in envelopes passed out of the machine to a user. An empty envelope in an envelope holding container (132) is passed through a transport (124) and presented to the user through an opening (244). The user can insert deposit items in the presented envelope. The envelope containing inserted deposited items can then be placed by the user back through the opening (244), causing it to be stored in a deposit-holding container (128). The machine also includes a printer that can print transaction indicia on a deposited envelope. A wiper comprising a resilient squeegee is able to remove excess ink from nozzles of the printer.
