Abstract: Powdered thermosetting compositions, comprising I a resinous constituent selected from the group consisting of (1) a mixture of a saturated linear or branched chain resin (A) containing free reactive groups selected from hydroxyl and carboxyl groups and an aminoplast resin (B) selected from the group consisting of polyamide-aldehyde resins, polyamide-aldehyde resins, etherified polyamine-aldehyde resins and etherified polyamide-aldehyde resins, and (2) a self-thermo-cross-linking resin containing Nmethylolamide or alkoxylated N-methylolamide groups; II a polycondensation catalyst (C) consisting of an alkyl monoester of a halogenated aromatic polycarboxylic acid; and III auxiliary agents (D) for coating compositions; processes for the preparation of these powdered compositions and the use thereof as protective and/or decorative coatings on articles which are conductors of electricity.
