    摘要: Disclosed is a versatile fuse panel assembly which includes a block adapted to accommodate any sequence of predetermined long and short cartridge fuses such as, for example, 30 and 60 amp cartridge fuses. The panel assembly includes an insulating-material fuse panel block adapted to receive a buss bar-like connector along one edge, and has means thereon for receiving a first respective row of a plurality of either 30 or 60 amp cartridge fuse clips electrically attached to the connector. Parallel to that edge of the block and spaced-apart therefrom are a plurality of second rows of fuse connector-receiving means. For example, the block can be designed to accommodate a plurality of both 30 and 60 amp fuses. The second 30 amp row of fuse connector receiving means is relatively close to the buss bar situs and the second 60 amp row is further away from the buss bar situs, each row being spacedapart from the buss bar a proper distance so that the appropriate fuse holders can be attached, during assembly of the panel, along the respective rows to provide proper spacing for receiving the desired fuses between respective pairs of fuse clips. The versatile fuse panel assembly makes it possible to custom assemble a panel for almost any combination, sequence or configuration of 60 and 30 amp fuses without the extra tooling costs associated with fabricating a special panel for each combination. Thus, the manufacturer''s representative can offer such custom panel assemblies at a predetermined and economical price regardless of configuration for any quantities and for any combinations comprising the predetermined size fuses, e.g., 30 and 60 amp fuses.

    摘要: An economical switch utilizing a triple function extrusion which is preferably immovably confined in an insulating housing is disclosed. The extrusion provides connector, terminal, and contact functions. Two preferred embodiments are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment is a switch comprising a pair of contactterminals which are secured with respect to a base and which are physically separated by an insulating barrier fixed to said base and which are electrically connected by a straddle-saddle connecting element comprising an elongated conductor having at the ends thereof a pair of electrically connecting saddle portions extending downwardly on either side of said barrier, and contacting the respective contact-terminals, said end saddles being electrically connected by a connecting base portion thereof which bridges said barrier. In a second embodiment, a switch in accordance with this invention is adapted as part of a cartridge-fuse panel.

    摘要: The terminal block and terminal connector form part of a terminal block assembly in which one or more terminal blades of the terminal connector are located in one or more apertures of the terminal block for receiving thereon female quick-connect terminal connectors. The terminal blades are connected to a lug which, together with a collar type fastener is received in a cavity of the terminal block, into which a wire conductor can be inserted for the securing of the wire conductor to the lug for supplying electric potential to the blades. The terminal block also has an opening therein which communicates with the cavity and through which a tool can be inserted for fastening or unfastening a wire conductor to the terminal connector.

    摘要: A terminal block assembly wherein the electrical connection is broken, and the blocks are separated, by pivoting or rolling one block apart from the other. The terminal block assembly includes first and second terminal blocks, each block having one side adapted to engage and mate with one side on the other block. One edge on one block defines a roll axis. An opposing surface on the other (usually mounted) block defines a fulcrum. The fulcrum surface engages the roll axis when the one block is rolled or pivoted apart from the other block to pivot its mating side away from electrical connection with the other block.

    摘要: A safety override disconnect switch particularly adapted for emergency use in the main electrical power supply of heavy equipment. The switch features an operator controlled axially fixed rotor having cam means for axially driving an axially movable contact-carrying element to close the switch, and heavy biasing means for strongly biasing the contacts away from the circuit connectors. In a preferred embodiment a backup cam system becomes operational should the contact-carrying axially movable element remain stuck to circuit connectors during reverse rotation of the operator controlled rotor.
