摘要: The terminal block has a plurality of paralleling apertures for receiving blades of different types of terminal connectors. One type of connector is U-shaped with two generally parallel spaced apart blades interconnected at their bases. Each of the blades has a locating projection. Another type of connector is of the spade type with two spaced apart co-planar blades connected to a co-planar base portion of the spade type connector. A plurality of notches are formed on one face of the terminal block and each notch is located adjacent to and opens into one of the apertures. A slot extends into the one face of the block between and communicating with at least two adjacent apertures. The projections cooperate and mate with the notches to maintain each blade of a U-shaped connector located centrally of the aperture into which it is received and to prevent movement of the blades against a side wall of the aperture. The slot receives the base portion of the spade type connector with the blades thereof received in the two adjacent apertures.

摘要: A unitary connector particularly suitable for high amperage applications is disclosed. It provides high density of smaller conductor connections per length of connector. A preferred embodiment facilitates visual inspection of all connections for confirmation of the completeness and security of such connection. The connector can be made from a single metal extrudate and current passes through the integral connector without passing across butting interfaces between elements within the connector assembly.

PREFERABLY, THE LAMP RECEPTACLE INCLUDES A TERMINAL BLOCK HAVING A BODY PORTION AND A LAMP RECEIVING PORTION AND THE BODY PORTION HAS PASSAGE MEANS FOR RECEIVING THE EJECTOR MEANS. IN ONE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION, SPRING MEANS ARE PROVIDED WITHIN THE PASSAGE MEANS FOR BIASING THE EJECTOR MEANS TO A NON-EJECTING POSITION WHILE ALLOWING THE EJECTOR MEANS TO BE MANUALLY OPERATED TO MOVE A FINGER PORTION THEREOF INTO THE LAMP RECEIVING PORTION TO EJECT ONE END OF THE LAMP FROM THE RECEPTACLE. IN ANOTHER PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION, THE PASSAGE MEANS IS PARTIALLY CLOSED OFF AT ONE END BY A PORTION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONTACT MEANS TO LIMIT MOVEMENT OF THE FINGER PORTION INTO THE LAMP RECEIVING PORTION AND TO ASSIST IN RETAINING THE EJECTOR MEANS IN THE PASSAGE MEANS.

摘要: An economical switch utilizing a triple function extrusion which is preferably immovably confined in an insulating housing is disclosed. The extrusion provides connector, terminal, and contact functions. Two preferred embodiments are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment is a switch comprising a pair of contactterminals which are secured with respect to a base and which are physically separated by an insulating barrier fixed to said base and which are electrically connected by a straddle-saddle connecting element comprising an elongated conductor having at the ends thereof a pair of electrically connecting saddle portions extending downwardly on either side of said barrier, and contacting the respective contact-terminals, said end saddles being electrically connected by a connecting base portion thereof which bridges said barrier. In a second embodiment, a switch in accordance with this invention is adapted as part of a cartridge-fuse panel.

摘要: The terminal block and terminal connector form part of a terminal block assembly in which one or more terminal blades of the terminal connector are located in one or more apertures of the terminal block for receiving thereon female quick-connect terminal connectors. The terminal blades are connected to a lug which, together with a collar type fastener is received in a cavity of the terminal block, into which a wire conductor can be inserted for the securing of the wire conductor to the lug for supplying electric potential to the blades. The terminal block also has an opening therein which communicates with the cavity and through which a tool can be inserted for fastening or unfastening a wire conductor to the terminal connector.
