Abstract: A method of continuously dyeing a yarn, which comprises, heating a running yarn to a temperature above the boiling point of a solvent in a dye and contacting said heated yarn with one or more dye applicators having a dye discharge aperture while discharging a dye through said aperture and onto said yarn is disclosed. An apparatus for continuously dyeing a yarn is also disclosed.
