摘要: The invention relates to a multi-pipe quantitative medium filling system of a supercritical fluid waterless dyeing machine. The system comprises a supercritical fluid medium reservoir, a stop valve, and a medium filter sequentially connected by a high-pressure main pipe, and at least two filling branches independent of each other and connected to the medium filter. Each filling branch includes a booster pump, a supercritical fluid high-pressure mass flowmeter, a ball valve, and a dyeing unit sequentially connected along a medium forward direction by a high-pressure branch pipe. By using a mass-measurement filling system having multiple branches independent of each other, the invention can effectively realize simultaneous and accurate quantitative medium filling for separate dyeing units and differentiated filling for dyeing units with different medium masses, thus overcoming disadvantages such as unreliability, inaccuracy and low use efficiency of a conventional method, and also making a dyeing operation simple and scientifically feasible.

摘要: An apparatus and method for applying textile treatment finishing agents to garments or garment work pieces is provided. The apparatus includes a rotating drum and a nozzle for generating a fine mist or fog of textile treatment agents inside the rotating drum. The apparatus can be constructed as a dedicated processing machine, or a conventional, industrial washer or dryer can be fitted with an appropriate nozzle and feed lines to provide a dual purpose machine which can be used for its originally intended purpose, and can be selectively used for applying textile treatment agents. Uniform coverage of the surface of the garment is assured by tumbling the garments through the fog created by the nozzle means. By controlling the size of the droplets, and the time during which mist or fog is generated, the amount of chemical agent absorbed by the garments can be controlled. The use of the finely divided, air dispersed liquid agent avoids wasted processing chemicals and permits the use of more concentrated chemical agents.

摘要: Textile fabrics are dyed in open widths in a closed, heated environment by spraying a heated dye composition containing a dyestuff dispersed in a non-aqueous, high-boiling solvent, without the dye applicator directly contacting the fabric, directly onto the fabric. The sprayed fabric is held under transverse tension in a heated (350.degree. to 450.degree. F.) environment and further heated while the sprayed dye dispersion migrates, penetrates thoroughly through the fabric and levels substantially evenly across the width of the fabric. Fabrics are thus simultaneously uniformly dyed and uniformly heatset. Apparatus for conducting the process is also disclosed.

摘要: An improved process for the dyeing of organic material, especially synthetic organic material, from organic solvents with application of a short goods-to-liquor ratio, by(a) applying a concentrated organic dye liquor heated to at least 80.degree. C with a goods-to-liquor ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:4 in atomized form to said organic material maintained in motion in an essentially closed chamber, preferably at a temperature below the absorption temperature of the dyestuffs, said concentrated organic dye liquor containing at least one dyestuff or optical brightener dissolved and/or finely dispersed in an organic solvent and having affinity to the fibers of the substrate to be dyed;(b) heating the thus treated organic material after application of the whole amount of the dye liquor to a temperature of 100.degree. to 150.degree. C;(c) finishing the dyeing by keeping the treated organic material at this temperature in an advantageously saturated organic solvent vapor atmosphere until complete fixation of the dyestuff is obtained;(d) optionally subsequently finishing and/or washing the dyed organic material after extensive removal of the residual liquor, by applying an organic solution, suspension and/or organic solvent in atomized form at a goods-to-liquor ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:4, and(e) drying the dyed organic material.

摘要: A process is disclosed for the rapid, continuous and waterless dyeing of textile and plastic materials in which the dyestuff is dissolved, suspended or dispersed in a high boiling solvent, such as glycol or glycol ether, for carrying out the dyeing step per se, after which the dyed textile or plastic material (after cooling if desired) is subjected to a washing with a low boiling liquid such as methanol or ethanol (preferably the former) or a chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent, and subsequently dried. The entire series of operations is carried out under nonaqueous or substantially nonaqueous conditions with the complete or substantially complete recovery and recycling of the used dyestuff, the used high boiling solvent, and the used low boiling wash liquid. In this way the entire operation is conducted in a relatively inexpensive fashion and in a completely or substantially completely closed cyclic system with essentially complete recovery and reuse of the treating liquids so that not only is the cost of the overall operation greatly minimized, but also without any need for pollution of natural water resources such as rivers and wells such as has in the past taken place to a more or less serious extent where effluents of a substantially aqueous nature but containing serious amounts of polluting substances were discharged into rivers and the like thereby creating environmental problems.
