Abstract: Provided are organometallic compounds comprising a Pt or Pd as the central metal atom which is coordinated by a tetradentate ligand comprising one 5-membered ring and at least three further rings. Also provided are formulations comprising these organometallic compounds. Further provided are organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) and related consumer products that utilize these organometallic compounds.
